Picked this ole girl up acouple days ago. hauling it down to proffitts so it will once again roam the streets and back country, 1976 one owner rig. Sadly yes it sat out for a very extended period of time. There’s still hope for it. Sold new 12/8/76 from Pocatello Idaho. Hilo bros Toyota. Lived its entire life in Idaho. Everything is there down to warranty card for the dealer installed radio. Window sticker where the dealer add ons were snow tires, radio, aisin hubs and under coating.

Couldn’t help but stop on the way thru and put it back on the lot it was sold new from 50 years ago. That’ll be the closest I ever come to drive a brand new Land Cruiser off of the lot.

Motor is free, pulled the plugs dropped some marvel in, head lights work, blinkers work, wipers work, flashers, heater pops fuses, rear window doesn’t do anything. This is all in a 30 minute diagnosis for fun to see what does and doesn’t work. Brakes surprisingly work and great pedal first push. Better than some of the rigs I DD. No clutch as pedal is stuck. Tomorrow will drop a fuel line in a gas can and see what it does.

yes this is the one @LittleEva had. Her dad bought it new. And kept everything for it and relatively clean until it got parked. Has a flew dents and dings from being used as a landcruiser the real damage came from Idaho roads and then being parked. @greenbeast has everything stock it rolled off the lot with except exhaust and tires but don’t worry has the receipts for those as well.

Nice kitchen table visit while @sofj45 took a break from the road yesterday while en route to Proffitts. Very straight original Pig with a bit of rust. Can’t wait to see what Jeremiah and crew do with it.

It’s now in the hands of some of the best there is. It will take a crew to make it better than new but it’s in capable hands now.

I was gonna stop several times to give it a bath, but I told Jules at the museum if Jeremiah didn’t wanna tackle it that I would donate it to them and then it needs to be how it sits.

The goal is the way it would roll off a show room today but keeping its appearance like it rolled off in 76.
