I did sit in there and just admire my new dash for a few before heading out. This thing is definitely turning into the Landcruiser of Theseus at this point.Thats amaze balls
If you ever decide to do it again, a pair of small flush cuts to remove the rib inside the switch housing works great too. That way you don't have to modify the harness/plug at all. You have to do this too if you're a cheap ass like me and use a hazard button for a CDL switch.Turns out you don't HAVE to swap the CDL harness side plug, you just have to massage it a bit. The later CDL switch has a taller little post inside of it than the older one, so you have to gouge out the material in where my knife is pointing in the first pic, to make the slot in the harness side a little deeper (like about 1/64" or so). Then, the two ridges on either side of the springy part of the harness need to be shaved down slightly (knife pointing to one in the second pic, other one opposite the springy part). Now it goes in just fine, and even works.
