If you ever decide to do it again, a pair of small flush cuts to remove the rib inside the switch housing works great too. That way you don't have to modify the harness/plug at all. You have to do this too if you're a cheap ass like me and use a hazard button for a CDL switch.

What was the catalyst for the dash swap? Just like the newer style? It looks great! Any cool plans for the spot where the passenger airbag is(was?)
I was looking at adjusting the switch, but decided the harness was better option for me, won't have to think about it again. I ordered a housing too so when that gets in I'll replace it and be done with it.

needed to check out the heater core for cummins swap stuff so had to pull dash. have had Lee's old dash sitting here, I have always wanted the newer dash, so decided to go for it. lot more places to attach stuff, and I just like the looks of it so much more. seems more driver centric to me. VERY happy with it and it was a LOT less work than I thought it would be going into it.

who on earth would want that space for anything???

looool. that actually looks like the new escaladay uber I got picked up in. the ENTIRE dash was a screen, displaying what was in front of the vehicle. like instrument cluster all the way through the stereo. it was wild, and super distracting.

I will say that if I were to make a little thing to hold stuff under there, I certainly wouldn't post pictures on the internet about it.
