I was there once back in 1997, I am sure it's quite different now. Saw a guy get a brand new convertible Saleen Mustang stuck in the sand and had to get a tow truck to pull him out. Quite funny

Glass plastic update -

Info from the glass supplier
Talked with the glass supplier that does lots of custom glass and plastic for hot rods. He can do lots of custom glass but no glass for LCP due to the need for rectangle holes for the latches.:( Glass guy claims scratch resistant glass is like a water resistant watch:rolleyes: It is more durable yes but with what I/we use our 80 for and where I go scratch resistant will look start to look hazy and like $hit in short time. Basically all roads lead back to aluminum being the most durable and most economical choice.

Who'da'thought:flipoff2:

Ready to gauge interest on a group buy - PM with purchase interest or any question not yet covered

Spec's remain the same as HERE

Got to see this last night at the local club meet. Lightweight, simple, functional....well executed. The aluminum is more than stout enough to stand up to anything I'd ever expect to see thrown at it (a personal "I wonder how well that will work" question I'd had when originally seeing this design). It's all good....

I'm a third-row-keeper so none of the current offerings are of interest to me personally. It was cool, however, to see it in person and get a better appreciation for the accessibility gained. Nothing more than passing along what I witnessed, might prove useful for anyone seriously looking at these since most only have a few pics to look at. Full disclosure, I did buy Phil's Rock Rails last year (very happy with them) but really have no affiliation.

Well done, Phil.

Thanks to you and the other CSC members for the positive feedback at the meet.

To answer the most popular questions -
►Yes I will put together a strut option:rolleyes:
►The reason for the bubble seal on the window and not the opening is to avoid damage when getting stuff in and out of the opening. The trim used in the opening is super durable whereas the bubble seal is soft and easily damaged.
►Aluminum is the only material that will be available
►One unit fits either side and are not left and right specific
►The motion light I used for the opening is available at Costco for ~$15 for 2 units and are battery operated

Latest - I turn my info over to the CSC members of Blue Media to put together my vinyl image to cover the aluminum. My original image quality below is not printable at the need size. Michael & Romey are putting together there ninja search and expertise to find a fitting image worthy.

For the images there are any number of vector maps freely available. Vectors are infinitely scalable and thus print perfectly using any method. If you need help let me know. I have dozens myself.

If you have something that looks along the same lines I would welcome the offering:) and save the Blue Media boys from searching

How will the vinyl hold up to UV, is it just based on the vinyl it's printed on or the ink or whatever creates the colored image?

I will rely on the expertise of Michael and Romey. With more than 150,000 sq. ft. of vinyl building wraps for this years Super Bowl I feel Im in good hands.

So you're just blindly trusting experts and not entertaining my uneducated query? Probably best....

Highly depends on the vinyl and ink. Our work fleet cars are all wrapped. They need to be re-done every 3-4yrs or they become impossible to remove the old stuff.
