After finally getting keys made for the doors on my '74 a few months back, today's project was going to be to finally install the replacement lock arm on the rear hatch lock.
When I pulled the access cover off, I found that the threaded stud had gone missing (or may have never been there to start with). I don't remember what state that was in when I reassembled the rear hatch back in 2003.
Interestingly this seems to not be unheard of. When searching the forum, I came across this post showing a 1974 missing the stud as well: Rear lift door parts
Since I (finally) got the keys cut for the locks, I would prefer to not have to track down a matching pair of driver door and rear hatch locks. Aside from the JB weld it on method @LCQ used, does anyone have other suggestions on how to make this work?
