10psi with the drivers side done and the 60 level.

With my 3” exhaust on the passenger side I need to reroute the exhaust to the inside of my shocks to have clearance for that airbag.

Bought some more exhaust parts today. At least for now it sits level and the ride is really nice. My Chevy 63” were pretty close to the overload on the drivers side as it was 2” lower that the passenger before.
Since I didn’t do the passenger I toyed with the idea of trying one on the front axle... :hmm:

Maybe this helps

@Hojack how did you mount your bags to the top of the flip kit?

If you catch @lcwizard this week he may be able to make you some mounts for the Boss. He said he was going to replicate some he made for himself for me.

The passenger side BOSS triple airbags have been on my shop floor being patient. The 3” exhaust needed to be ran to the inside of my shocks. Tonight I decided to work on Snowball❄. The family was out so it was a perfect time.

Removed the exhaust pipe.

Cut the tip off the pipe so I could rotate the bent section of pipe to the inside of the shocks.

Ready to take Snowball❄️ for a roll!

Now that is some solid work. Thanks for the pictures. Talent!

@Hojack how did you mount your bags to the top of the flip kit?
Hojack has a spring over. This isn't the same as a u-bolt flip kit. The kit from Slo cruisers is for a spring over not a u-bolt flip kit. A spring over will net you about 6" or more lift.
A u-bolt flipkit is not a lift, it's just a reversal of the ubolts fron nuts down to nuts up...... sorry for the imagery in that

@wngrog thanks for the tip, Dave just made me a 2nd basket for my swing out and we've been talking about that very thing. He's my go to guy for any fab questions. If you need a set like I do, maybe we can twist his arm to make a couple of sets, if it's worth it for him. If not, I'll fab up my own. Won't be as nice, but functional. @Hojack, nice job, truck looks great!!

Back in past 153 you can see my version of these mounts onto the flip kit from @lcwizard

Works well, leaving the top ubolt nuts alone.

Put all this together from @lcwizard and left the sandwich plates he included with a he kit off and the air leaked right out.
Always trust the Wizard.
They are perfect now.

Looks good…and you are correct, we don’t call him the Wizard for nothing.

I ‘plan’ on doing this someday to my 7k lb 60. What are the sandwich plates you are talking about? Any pictures?

These. I don’t know why I did not think I would need them nor do I really understand why having them seals the bags up but I did need and they did seal it off

Ok thanks. Like you, I’ve got his U Bolt flip kit…but I’ve cut the length of the U Bolts off at the nuts. From your pictures it seems like the way the air bags mount, I will now need new U Bolt….right?

Well you have to cut them and you will have 1/4” more thickness. If he will make you a kit just get new and cut em. They are cheap

BTW Nolen, I bought a carb from you about 15 years ago. Rebuilt it a couple of years ago and it’s been on my 60 since.👍🎯👍

Great info here folks, and may be the perfect solution to to my rear suspension situation.

Can anyone tell me what the fully compressed dimensional differences are between the two and three lobe airbags? As measured from center of hub to bottom of fender I have 2" of lift over stock. Of course this could be changed over time, so if the three lobe fits, it may be more useful in the long run.

Thanks!

So I did some research and to answer my own question, in case it helps someone in the future, Boss says the double lobe bag measures appx 2.5” collapsed, the triple appx 3”.
