I have two grooves on the crank and it lined up best with the inside one. It seems like there could be more of a bracket to hold the pump. It works just fine, but would be nice to have the pump a little more solid.

That should take the place of that steering work out that I was getting.
Just this moment got a call from my partner. He is getting stress from the folks and his girlfriend to get a job!!! He just got his masters in business. It seems that he is best served right now to go and get on a wall. He gets a job now and it will be two weeks a year to go and get adventure like this, and we all know what the chances are then to get some.
What have you all been doing for the rear stabilizer brackets. I keep braking those little clam shell brakets that hold the bar!

Do you think that there is any correlation between the steering system and the head gasket.Man,
I'd have to agree that 3-4 HG jobs on a 2F is not normal, something is going on with that engine. Have you replaced the head at any point or just had resurfaced? Valves? I'd say one HG job every 20-30 years is more typical, and then only if it overheats or sits ...
