Joe at Slee told me they spent days installing the rear bumper and tire swing out. I think it's a very challenging install (I'm impressed at anyone willing to take that much on); I've also attached pictures of what must be challenging install points: the trim around the sides where the plastic is cut and the weather stripping, as well as the inside rear clearance for the tailgate (mine is rubbing on occasion.)

It was a challenge since most of the directions are very vague. I will take pics of the ones I thought were no good. I had the tailgate rubbing on my passenger side, but I adjusted the cap and now no rubbing. Loosen the bottom bolts and have a friend push on it while it gets tightened. Did you wire up your tail lights also and the sensors work normally? The front still work, but the error comes on for the rear. I need to get my carrier mounted tonight when I get off work.

This is where I stopped for the day. Bumper on and vehicle ready to drive, but need to secure side panel pieces better and mount mud flaps

Day 2. I made some simple brackets for the what was left of the OE bumper and installed the mud flaps.

Before brackets. Allowed for allot of movement.

Brackets installed. I think for a 200 these should come with the kit, but oh well

And the mud flaps. Of course you have to drill into perfectly good parts to install, but the fit nicely. I think the bolts are a little long and may switch out later, but you can see in the pics.

Methinks you din't read step #51 in the ARB instructions. ;)

(It tells you to reuse the OE mudflaps and cut them to fit snugly to the top of the new ARB mudflap; this fills that void, and securely attaches the side molding to the bumper and new mudflaps. )

The team at Slee Off Road installed my bumper for me, but yes they wired up everything to work (and everything works flawlessly); the bumper lights and turn signals tie in with the truck, sensors, etc. same with my front bumper.

I will try what you said about the bolt on the side to help the tailgate lower smoothly.

I've been off the forum for about a week but was confused what happened here as well. I reused the OEM mudflaps per the instructions, very secure.

It was easier for me to do it with a bracket.

Do you know if Christo would be able to provide any details about the sensors?

Got my mudflaps installed today. Thanks @TJsTACOMA for the trdparts4u recommendation.

And I reused sections of my OE mudflaps to attach the plastic panels and the new ARB mudflaps

No.....

It does, does't it.

I just carefully masked with painter's tape and painted with Krylon Fusion (bonds to plastic). Masked the letters and outside of the ring and laid down some red paint, then masked over the ring, and laid down the white paint. Let it dry and pulled off all the paint--black letters, white background, and red ring. Time will tell how well it holds up, but yes, it looks much cooler with the color. :)

You did all this while holding your new baby? That is impressive!

Hey MS, if you can do that with a new baby, I think you can swing a long weekend in CO? I really want to see that beast!

I finally got my lights working correctly. Thanks to help from JamesC. I purchased a tail light converter and wired it through a 7 pin plug that is plugged into the vehicle socket. Wiring is straight forward. Match the colors and tuck it away. The converter has an adhesive pad to stick to the body. I tucked mine away up on the body and routed the wires through the bumper to the lights. When need to tow a trailer I will just unplug the bumper lights since not needed with the trailer back there.

Ready to install

Jerry can swing out will be installed this week. Then at the end of next week its off to Colorado for a week.

That's so funny.

I got mine yesterday too and got them installed as well.

Only took about an hour and a half to do. The original company I bought the cover plate from said the shipping company lost it. They refunded my money then applied it towards the jerry can holder. Later that day they called and said it was backordered. I had enough and said just cancel and give me a refund. I looked online and ordered from Sierra Expeditions on the 26th and got it yesterday with free shipping.

Nice.

My install took much longer (~5 hours).

I ended up deciding to reuse my factory sensors, so that required some cutting and grinding, in addition to having to extend the wiring on 3 of the 4 sensors. Each wire was cut, spliced onto new wire, covered with the plastic sheathing, and wrapped in tape. It looks great, but man, what a PITA. The good news, is that even with the 35" tire, all of my sensors are working proplerly. I am glad I went ahead and did it.

I still have not wired the lighting; I ordered an OE 7-pin connector off of eBay, but it got lost in the mail, so I am waiting for a replacement. It will be easy to figure out once it gets here though.
