So I got the bumper installed Saturday. Took better part of the day, but that is due to fit issues caused in part by the powder coat being too thick in some places and other fit issues with the OE tow hitch bar.

When fitting the bumper I needed it to slide slightly driver, but the weld on the OE tow bar would not allow. Break out the grinder with a flap disk and take it down. I also had to cut off the spare tire retainer and drill into the bar to allow for the cage nuts

Here is where had to grind the bumper and drill holes to allow for the cage nuts

Bumper was on and now to fitting the tire carrier. As stated in thread I did have to modify the washers that came with the carrier to fit, but came out very good. No play in carrier. the washer that goes on the bumper is the one that is too thick as you can see

Now it was time to grow wings and cut the OE bumper up. the directions were fairly ok to follow, but the cutouts for the reflectors was a bit of trial and error. Mostly error on the driver side. hopefully the tire will cover my over cut.

This is where I stopped for the day. Bumper on and vehicle ready to drive, but need to secure side panel pieces better and mount mud flaps

Day 2. I made some simple brackets for the what was left of the OE bumper and installed the mud flaps.

Before brackets. Allowed for allot of movement.

Brackets installed. I think for a 200 these should come with the kit, but oh well

And the mud flaps. Of course you have to drill into perfectly good parts to install, but the fit nicely. I think the bolts are a little long and may switch out later, but you can see in the pics.

Day 2 completed

I did some adjusting on the spare carrier latch and was looking at assembling the carrier, but of course thick PC will not allow. Will have to break out the flap disc again. More to come. Here is the left overs and I need to decide if I want to try to install the sensors. If anyone has done this can you let me know any details

I need to purchase some weather stripping. I'd like to pick up the same that is used in the picture above that covers the cut plastic body panel.
any leads would be greatly appreciated.

ha - I got mixed up. Its the weather stripping that is on mosseknuckles photo where he is showing the arb mudflap installed sideways.
its there in that photo and its on the plastic body panel where it meets the metal bumper. did it come with the kit or is that something easily sourced?

Thanks Willy. Can you see my crooked ass cut on the left side? The bumper comes with flat weather-stripping about 1/2" wide, but I may look for some that wraps around the bottom. The kit does have good weather-stripping though. I will check AutoZone when I get the wheel studs for the spare carrier.

I was unable to find any that actually wrapped around. I called @Archtaan and he suggested I use fuel lines, and slit them lengthwise with a knife. I must say that I did, and it really looks great too.

Could you take some close ups of the locations and some pictures of the back side of the swing out so we can see where they routed the wiring?

Regarding the sensor location, has anyone with a 35" hanging off the rear been able to get them to work without interference? I contacted Beno about the cost of additional sensors incase you don't want exposed holes in your bumper and your pro gal placement does not work...they are not cheap.

Joe at Slee told me they spent days installing the rear bumper and tire swing out. I think it's a very challenging install (I'm impressed at anyone willing to take that much on); I've also attached pictures of what must be challenging install points: the trim around the sides where the plastic is cut and the weather stripping, as well as the inside rear clearance for the tailgate (mine is rubbing on occasion.)

Not to hijack this thread but yeah that one was crazy. Tree was down across the trail and I had to winch it to the side.

Snow drift on one side, giant tree on the other... Riiiiiip...SCRAPE...SMACK. I didn't even want to get out and look. My passenger side chrome trim was ripped halfway out and the battle scar was there.

Chrome trim popped back in like it never happened, and a bit of touch up paint on the bumper and I will be good as new! dodged a bullet on that one.
