rust area

did you have any rust under the interior wheel well covers?

who is going to rebuild them?...

One small area near the wheel well perforation into body tub. Welding in new steel today or tomorrow. DSC_0031.webp

And some in the rockers DSC_0027.webp

poke at the base of the rockers with an ice pick. Mine looked great until I bumped a tree stump and they crumbled like a dry rusty cracker.

Is a common site for rust but they have been poked and banged pretty good, the photo shows the new steel that has been welded in and the thin layer of fiber filler over the pinholes etc. in the rockers they were rusty but over all in pretty good shape. the one rust rear fender panel and the rear cross brace had the worst rust. I was really surprised. DSC_0026.webp

By the way the box the 4+ bumper and sliders arrived in was huge. Nice product will post pictures of them latter. DSC_0015.webp :bounce::bounce::censor: oh my back!!!

Diffs in shop

Finally got the little trailer gone to the shop.

Looks like a week or two before they return. (ended up being 6 months, who knew!)

More pictures Friday or Saturday. Still plugging along.

Checked Kevins threads on the tailgate mods and the quarter pannels I'm still moving up, looks like I may get them from Kevin prior to finishing Stage one mods. Great!!;) (Sur nuf they are sitting and waiting on my slow butt to get the BT back together):o

Still going

Over the last two weeks I got to work a little on the BT. Mostly removal of the headliner and the associated hardware. Then scraping off the insulation and finally sanding off the glue and most of the old paint. Not many photos too boring.

That crappy glue clogs up wire brush, grinder wheels only thing worked was a sander and grinder grade disc.

from the size of your to do list i kinda thought you might be a bit of a "dreamer", but by your progress you seem to be more of a "do-er", keep up the good work, it looks to be coming together nicely!! And dont forget we love lots of pictures!

It is a long list but I want her to wheel and last for at least 15 more years. All the parts for stage one are in the shop just got to get the body and paint work done. Then it should speed up, at least I hope so. :) So no dreamer(esternal cage and atlas are just sarcaism} just slow do-er; will keep the photos coming.

BT60 Colors

I love the black and tan colors on all types of vehicles. I hope to match the color of my Indian Motocycle on BT60 hence the name.

like the bunny still going but slow

Got photos of the carb installed with the headers and mainfold. New Airconditioner compressor, install and the battery tray installed. However left to return to work(travel 90% time) and did not get the photo's resized before leaving home. The laptop does not have the software to resize so posting of photos will be in a week or so. My mechanic is still working so he may have done something photogenic prior to the next post check back in a week or so. ;p

Reset the "quality" setting on your camera to low, then you won't have to resize. I have the same problem...too lazy to install photoshop on my laptop

Slightly off topic, but there is an XP powertoy called image resizer that is a simple one click operation right from the desktop. Here is the linky:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

Back on topic. The truck is looking great. Look forward to seeing more engine pics and after paint. Keep up the good work.

Teck question?

Not to mention it's a tasty mix of Guiness and Bass Ale. :D

Why is it when I drink my favorite BT (Guiness and Blue Moon, called an eclipse) I find my acclerator pedel spring gets week and the pedel stays on the floor? Also noticed that the steering gets real eratic. Fix's anyone???:rolleyes::beer:

Thanks for the link and that sounds ideal, even when set to smallest jpeg on my Digital the image on here is huge to say the least. Will give this a try.

Well

On the beer...YIKES, Guinness and Blue Moon???? corriander and stout??? Well, it takes all kinds. Bass and Guinness, yes Harp and Guinness yes but a Wit? Hum, maybe I'll just try it. What we do here at Steamworks in Durango is called an Afternoon Delight-Stout and Starbucks Double Shot - or a TrainSmoke Stout and Conductor Imperial IPA

Rigs looking good Doc
