Now that I am recovering from my illnesses I still plan on coming out west to have that beer, never let a little thing like almost dropping dead get in the way of a good brew with friends. Will keep you posted when but maybe next year. Doc:)

I'll make sure the taps are flowing!

Update

For those looking to see the 2F TBI at GsMTR this year I just got the word, it's more than Trollhole can get done by tomorrow :crybaby:and as he is heading out to Tennessee Thursday the beast won't be there this year.:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: I however am still going up at least to visit with some friends Friday and Saturday. Looks like the next opportunity will be the over the mountain run in eary fall. See Ya!:)

That's an awfully cool set up...patience, Daniel-san.

The time is not a reflection on the job that Trollhole is doing by any means, this prototyping was understood to take several weeks and I thought we had plenty of time as I was assured by by my employer that i would not be able to get off work for GSMTR however after we commited to the TBI and down time for the beast my employers changed there minds and I got the time off. However we had progressed to the point that I knew it would take a miracle to finish by tomorrow, alais it was just too much but there is always next year. So it's my own fault not any others , I should know better than to trust any scheduling information from my bunch. With there change Trollhole only had about 4 days it was just impossible. Have a good one Trapper

way to go!

You will be able to much easier after Trollhole get's this on the market, for now it's a major change and frankly it was way to much for me. But there are wonderful talented people with our addiction: Acc, Trollhole, and the list goes on and on, I know that Stan with HFS and hundereds of others on the west coast and in the heartland of the US are dedicated to this addiction just like we are obssessed. So keep checking the site I am sure these will be available before too much longer. Doc:bounce::bounce:

Thanks for posting those up trollhole, I just love those fuel lines and that fuel pump install looks top notch to boot. Going to be fun showing off your work at the upstate meeting this Saturday. Keep up the good work. And thanks again for the photo's . Oh and Happy birthday dude I sure did not know that your birthday and mine were so close. We will have to have a beer to toast or older age.

OMG it lives

So tell me how did it do, I can't wait to pick it up Saturday...:bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2:gezzze all that bouncing up and down now I'm dizzy(never mind that's a constant state for me).

Am I mistaken, or is that the CPU I see on the firewall?

Also I now see I need to paint that air cleaner , didn't seem important before but dang that install looks good. Thanks in advance.

OMG this is farking awesome!!!!

Folks just got thru driving the new fuel injector installed by Trollhole in my 60. OMG you can not believe the difference from the webber. Now I did not get to do any off camber stuff yet(I was only home for a few hours as I passed thru to another assignment) but it starts cold on call, idles smoother than it ever did with toyota or webber carbs. Throttle response is adequate and the overall perfomance seems smoother and I bet with time the mileage will increase. Can you say I am happy with the conversion you better bet the farm that I am. And the service Marshall gave on the install went way above anything you would expect. Got to say it loud and proud Thank you Marshall for coming up with this install.

TBI update

Well I checked the mileage the other day, level interstate and filled up and drove a measured distance(my odometer does not read mileage correct due to the mis match with my tire size) and re filled at the same station after the trip. Results well I was shocked to say the least I was getting 8 mpg with the Webber on a good day. Now it's just a little over 15 mpg and that's on 35's and a lot of armor weight. Still loving it!!!

Update

With the TBI's highter fuel efficency had come another problem, When I rebuilt this rig I opted(read whoops) to toss the heat shields as I was installing a custom stanless exhaust and any way how hot could it be. Well with the Webber carb it was barely liveable, not comfortable but doable. As the efficency of fuel burn has gone way up I now have temp's in the floor board area that are downright uncomfortable, close to melting the soles of my boots. It seems that the 5 speed and the low range gears also contribute some heat as well so my toes were getting roasted.

But not anymore, I used a heat shield product from second skin and the heat is gone. Also used a dampner paint and closed cell product to lessen heat, and also to cut down on the gear whine from the AA gearset.

And off for ,yes I can't believe I'm doing this, Carpet guess I am just getting soft in my old age. :)

Carpet and Seats, Storage

I have now installed marine carpet dark gray over the insulation and sound damp products from second skin.

A local shop sourced the carped and installed for 300.00 and they did a very professinal job. They even banded around the wheel wells, and that's under the rear seat, professional at the least. 008.webp

Traded away my Corbeau seats they are not really made for a 300lb load that I was subjecting them too. A local ih8mud member and I traded, I got his really nice brown FJ-62 seats that were like new. Had them recovered and this is the final result, mounted on the new seat storage box from Wagon Gear (thanks Kevin)
