Sorry, my rig currently has a GM alternator and regulator in. I only been able to collect the stock alternator so far, what Toyota regulator works for a 65 fj40 ?Thanks.

I had no idea what it was either. According to @Coolerman its a very old electrical noise filter cap. Its aftermarket and most likely not functioning any more. I am going to take it off before running the alternator.Pardon my ignorance; what is that part on the back of the Alternator?
