Andy I'd say body color ... toyota was messing with a few different techniques in this painting thing around this time ... there have been definitely black and definitely body color... so go the easy route ... body color

Pewter for seats

Here are pics of a brand new 64' as well as a unrestored 65'

Great build, nice to see someone take the time and do things correctly.

fwiw, the firewall on my mid 1965 is painted the body color.

I would use a speedi sleeve but you need to fill the grove so the sleeve and seal doesn't run hot. My mate has success cutting the seal down in height so it runs on a clean spot but I have never tried this fix.

Gearbox and Driveshafts turned out looking great. Thoughts?
Just need to source Rubber Boots for Driveshafts (?) , Or the Puegeot alternative ( thanks Paul) and getting the Handbrake Drum Shaft 'Speedi Sleeved'.
Where:s best to source Inner and Outer Gearstick Boots and Transfer Case Boot?

Spent a while searching for replacement Rocker Shafts. Sourced two Pairs, unfortunately both very worn. No joy there.
If anyone is interested?, my Engine Builder has Machined up new Rocker Shafts for me. They will cost between $500-600Aus.
Quite a bit cheaper than I thought!
They are exact replicas, even down to the Core Plug in the end. They have been 'Nitrided' to harden them as well for longevity.
