Finally! No more need to speculate, the Tamiya Toyota Land Cruiser 40 is here. It’s based off the new CR-01 ladder frame crawler chassis and is powered via a centrally located planetary gearbox with a 40.5:1 final gear ratio. Word is that the vehicle will come with a 20 tooth pinion but optional pinions will be available which extend the final ratio from 50.6:1 to 32.4:1 Much to the dismay of hardcore scale builders the body is made of lexan. However it does feature a molded grill, turn signals, and mirrors to give it that added detail. More information and pictures are available after the jump!

I quit playing with toy cars about 41 years ago. But by Gawd! I'll have me one 'o them!:grinpimp:

No prices to find on the web.....someone told me it might be around 320 Euros here in Germany..... so if there will be a big $$ difference in the US i would apreciate if someone turns around and sends me over a nice package.:hillbilly:

tell me more...

You can see in my sig line where I had sold a few RC FJ40's in the past.

They are made by Aoshima and I still have a few of them that I need to part with.

That's all! :crybaby:

BTW, if it's $300US, then that's unbelievably cheap.
I think that's a lot cheaper than what the new Hilux/Mountaineer(sp) thingy is going for.
I don't know much about those things, so I guess it's quite possible that the FJ's less sophisticated than the Hilux.

Anyway... I'll be here if anyone wants mine. :hillbilly:

Mot ;)
