Hello,

Actually, that one looks like a late model FZJ73. Front leaf springs and the "4.5" fender badge give it away.

Some pictures from a 2004 model year truck.

It did come with the 1FZ-FE engine.

An interesting model. It was assembled by SOFASA from soft top CKDs until around 2006. A Dana 60 rear axle and a Fivres/Cabinor FRP top enforced some local components regulation. It also had two extra jump seats in the back.

The FRP top on these ones does not have lining, and the windows on it are round.

Awesome clarifications Juan. I was just driving by it so I tried my best intuition to glean the model. Yes, indeed had "4.5" on the fender.

And I knew it was definitely a CKD when I looked back under it and saw the Dana rear axle.

Those MWB jump seats seem to be popular down south. The people down there must be tiny because they are useless for adults from my experience with the ones I had in my FJ73.

Hello,

Thank you for your kind words.

MWB 70 Series with the 1FZ-FE engine are fun to drive.

I forgot to mention that the 2004 model was also an FZJ73.

Interesting fact: Toyota parts such as brake drums and shafts are a direct fit into the Dana 60 used in Venezuela/Colombia assembled 70 Series.

Regarding the seats, people down there are, on average, 5 ft 5 in. (165 cm) tall.

Another example of these beasts. Model year 2002 or 2003 if I remember correctly.

G'Day Fella's,

FYI, apparently the owner/driver is in a wheelchair.
On the LHS behind the front door, is another door and wheel chair lift system, to give the driver access to the vehicle.

D'oh!
