Still fine tuning so many things. I knew the front bump spots were going to be an issue. With the axle housing and U bolt perch on the passenger side they needed a good flat service. I had some old rear shock axle perches so I cut the shock bolt off and started grinding. This should work out perfect I will have a nice flat area for a bump stop pad and still be able to remove the U bolts. With bolt pads at the same height it will also make it easier to fine tune the bump stops so we can get as much up travell in the shocks as possible. Once these are welded in place I am going to cut some 1/4 in plate and cap the pads for a really clean surface. Amaizing what you can get done with a few Harbor Freight grinders, Good weather and a pile of old rusty Cruiser parts.

Its been a good weekend, Bob came over yesterday and we got the new bump stop pads welded up on the front axle. Now I can get a perfect measurement for the front bump stops and get us as much up travel as possible. Also installing a new rebuilt center arm I picked up two kits my last visit at Valley Hybrids. Big push today install center arm, new Optima Battery, check real axle limiting straps, re torque everything. Get some shake down runs in this week, load up by Wednesday and set up camp in Barstow for the race Saturday and Sunday.

MORE Racing ProAm Championship this weekend. Nervous and excited at the same time. This is a big step towards our King of the Hammers race 2024.

Correct…Good luck Rob!šŸ‘šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ‘

2 days of racing over a brutal course. Steered a rear spring pin. Bent a front leaf spring and got a hole in the radiator ( we plugged with a bar of soap ) 3rd place finish over a 100 miles overall. I'm Proud of what we accomplished

Congrats. You should replace your spring pins with ARP bolts. They are way stronger and won't corrode. I have been using these forever with no failures after upgrading to ARPs

Congratulations Rob! Top 3 is not bad at all!
In all honesty there we're only 3 stock trucks in our class. I'm Proud we got the checkered flag both days and didn't DNF. On every lap pit crews from Throphy trucks to Class 11 we're cheering us on.
