I dunno dude, I've never seen a bullbar that complemented the incredible good looks of a Pig...and what are you planning on hitting anyway?
I think the less bumper the better on a Pig, for looks anyway.
For instance, some 4" chanel iron...no fancy tubing.

And the titty Pink just sets it off as so sweat! ;p ;p:bounce: :bounce2:

Here's what i got done on my bullbar this afternoon, I think just the base section by itself would look really cool and provide ample protection for normal day to day use and be heaps strong enough for the rough stuff. I could make whatever style top section for it, tube or posts etc. I am using the posts of the old one in front of it, it should look alright i think, but it will atleast keep the kangaroos off my panels. Not designed for a winch, i'll have a PTO winch when i get my parts pig, i might be able to modify it to suit but i'll just have to wait and see.

Cardinal fang, is it just me, or am I starting to sense a certain trend, or theme, in your recent responses regarding my pink front Pigbumper? Are you criticizing my color scheme or questioning my manhood?
Y'know, a lesser man might take offense to that. But I, a new-age, sensitive kinda guy, wonders..."What is Cardinal fang REALLY saying?" I mean, does he find titty pink that offensive? Titty pink is one of my favorite colours. I like titty tan and titty off-white as well. In fact, I'm a fan of the whole titty spectrum.
So I don't think that's it...
Titty pink...titty pink...I like titty pink so much, I'm going back to change my 55registry posting...

(BTW, no subliminal messages or repressed sexuality, NTTAWWT, being expressed by this particular titty pink front Pigbumper, it's just that my middle daughter had been painting some doohicky to hang on the wall of her room and still had half a rattle can and wanted something else to paint. I pointed to the bumper. Simple as that)

I like rush55's bumper there. Mine is c-channel, like pigheads, only longer. I have recently bent the hell out of it even though it is thick. It also has character, being that it is welded directly to the frame with the biggest snotball welds you'll ever see (cheeseburger welds to some, they ain't pretty but they have held for the 10, 20, or 30 years, not really sure). And it is welded on very crooked.

And this whole titty pink thing, I like my titties pink, but they should be a little tan. Pink, whatever, at least you have paint on there, that is more than many others. Just paint the damn thing rasta and show those true colors.

Now enough with these titties and snouts, lets get on to protecting those rears!

Here's the progress on my bullbar buildup, still not entirely sure what i'm going to do with the top half, i think i'll make it a full bar to give more protection for everything in preference to just a tube hoop.
I think it came up quite good, still a few little things to finish up.

I'll get a picture of it bolted on with a coat of primer during the next couple of days.
;)
Cheers, Daniel.

Nice look. Can't wait to see it mounted to fully take in the effect. Any plans to make it capable of accepting a winch?

Thanks guys, yeah i have plans to modify it later on to accept a winch, i have another 55 lined up to buy as a parts pig that has a PTO winch on it, i'll get that as soon as i have some spare money and if the winch is okay it'll go on this one.
I'm also planning on mounting some foglights and LED indicators in the front of the bar.
Daniel.

Here's a photo of it again, this time painted with primer, it's still not finished i'm going to cut a peice out of the top just over the chassis rails and weld in a peice of steel folded to shape so i can bolt in a recovery hook on each rail, because i made the top of the bar 50mm above the frame.

and i'm going to put this on the top of it for now, it's not chrome it's stainless, it will atleast give it a completed look until i do something different with it or make a different one. Oh and the bar will be painted Black :D

It's 3.0mm mild steel, which is plenty thick enough in my books and is certainly strong, just not as heavy as a big chunk of C section, that is until i put a winch on it.

how did this turn out???

what did it weigh in the end??
