Acetone works great for overspray if you just freehand without taping like I did. Still, the stuff pretty much sprays where you want it very well.

Amazing how much it also refreshes the look of the car.

Sooooo.... I had another 'mishap' at my lake house. Because I had a new seawall installed last August, the original sprinkler system (and electrical to the seawall), was torn up. Priority 1 was to get the electrical re-installed. This was the second time I had to get this done since I bought the property. The first go around, the electricians cut through the existing sprinkler lines, which I also needed to get fixed. The second time, I didn't care about the sprinkler lines, because I knew I would get a new sprinkler system installed.

Well... The sprinkler installers managed to snag the electrical lines feeding the seawall. It didn't appear the electricians buried them 'to code' which would have been 18". The machine that pulls/buries the sprinkler lines only goes down 12". The sprinkler guys spliced the one line (the other appeared fine - I have two separate 20a circuits going to the seawall).

You can see the 'hack' splice job in the second pic.... Since I'm a bit OCD (anal) about things, the wife and I dug the entire 24' run up. Not an easy feat for two people over the age of 70. We carefully dug underneath the new sprinkler lines, and the cable the goes to the pump start relay at the power post. I made certain that the depth of the trench was 20" or more.

Electricians came out, and I said to them: 'I'm not doing this again'. So I'd already went to Lowe's and picked up 30' of 1 1/2" PVC conduit. They ran the direct bury cable (new cable for both circuits - I didn't want to roll the dice on the 'undamaged' one) through it, with the only 'exposed' portions under a sidewalk (by the house where the power comes out) and at the power post down at the seawall.

14 bags of topsoil and some grass seed later:

Unless someone digs deep at the power post or next to the sidewalk, they aren't going to hit buried cable. Anywhere else, they'll hit the PVC conduit first. Or the sprinkler lines.

I made my daughter a 1:6 scale Barbie dollhouse a few years back. Now it’s time to add windows and flooring. I don’t like the thin flooring people sell online so I’m tinkering with cutting my own strips to make it thicker. Clearly Barbie needs to clean house

Setting caps on the retaining wall so I can continue on the fence. Annoying part is the wall is my neighbors, but they don’t wanna fix it so I’m doing it so it doesn’t fall on my property. 🙄 At least it’s a cool 98deg

Scored this the other day. Gave it a good deep washing. The condition of this is awesome for being from the 80’s. There’s even some stickers with Toyota part numbers so could be fun to buy those parts and put them in the cabinet. The legs are taking a little more work getting the corrosion off.

Started the installation of a Micro Hydro power generator at our property which is off grid.
Please share pics and more details.

Finally getting the pickets up. Getting some much wanted privacy. After the wood, I’ll start building the gate.

Awe, and you even gave them the purdy side.
That mostly because it’s harder to climb the nice side. I always have security in mind.
