If the manifolds look original inspect them carefully for cracks and evidence of leaking when you pull the motor back out to weld the mounts. You may want to throw a new set of manifolds on it for insurance.

That front sump oil pan fits with the 80's front diff? I had assumed it would need a rear sump pan swap.

Gary,

Thanks again for entertaining me the other day...I was cool hanging out and seeing the truck in persons again..good luck with the finishing steps and hope to catch up with you again sooner than later..

I've seen this thread pop up again, but just assumed it was the usual newbie discovering it and commenting on it. After seeing it pop up several times, I got curious and clicked on it.....DAMN! I didn't think this build could possibly get any cooler...wow!

Pics of engine side motor mounts. Laser cut from Slee drawings. Yes, they use 80 control arm bushings. Yes, I still pillage what I can.

Those are AWESOME!!

With Gary and Christo working on this you would expect nothing but the best...keep up the good work..

Gary, Christo,

Great work as usual. Good to see Gary staying out of trouble....

This is by far the greatest Cruiser I have seen...EVER!!:D
I used to think Blueberry (Slee's UZJ105), was the coolest, but this trumps that. (Sorry Slee, I still think you build sweet stuff)

I'm curious, since the body is a 1965, do you still have to have cats and meet emissions? Cause if you don't have to, just get some good headers and run a 3" dual exhaust or something similar, and with no cats......that would sound sick and have killer power.:bounce::D

The truck is registered in Montana where there are no emissions testing as of right now. I was thinking of headers down the road, but want the truck to run and drive for a while before modding it.

Its nice to see some fellow LSLC trash lurking around here for a change :)
