Gary,
A fun word of odd advice from a guy that realy has very little gearhead advice to give...
Be sure to pay close attention to the auto shifter wiring. I have a similar set up in a fj55 and had random starting problems. After far too many angry evenings, I learned that there is a connection to the shifter that is possibly loose. This caused me to think it was a fuel problem. It turned over all day but no fuel delivery. I redid these connections and it jumps to life. Still not sure what the heck it is, but thought you might want to know.
By the way, you have one of the coolest 45's I have ever seen!
Goebs
Thanks for the heads up although I am using a completely stock harness that all plugs in, and haven't had any issues yet. I will make sure that it stays that way.

Gary,

I dropped off a radiator cradle at Christo's for you yesterday. It is under the 45.

Thanks Mike. I bought radiator and all last night so it should all start to come together.

Gary,
If you go all stock on the wiring, will you be able to start the truck in gear or only in park or nuetral? The option to start in gear at times seems useful to me, but maybe not worth all the trouble wire wise.

Yea, unfortunately sold both wagons to finance this and another project.

I will check the Mercruiser for moss next time I see it, but it seems to be happy up here. :D Should make an appearance at 2009 Rubithon.

With some help from Swain, I got the engine wired and should finish the body harness tomorrow. Only pictures of spaghetti right now, but I'll take some good ones this week. I also decided on some buckets after some long days on the bench. I bought these, but shorter profile with DK Brown inserts.

Gary- so Im thinking maybe since I helped contribute to this build by buying(pleading with me to buy it) your 62 that sorta makes us partners right?:hhmm:
:lol::lol:
See you at Rubicon?

I should have taken some pics today, but spent most of the day making the intake tube with the MAF built into it. Did get the truck running though and should make some big progress by next weekend. Anyone planning on a 2UZ conversion into an 80 has plenty of wiring to figure out. There is lots of similarities in trucks but a large amount of wiring changes and none of the Toyota colors match up. If I didn't have Joe and Ben at Christos shop, I would be lost.I have documented all of the work, but turning it all over to Christo for allowing me to use his shop and employees. There is no way I could have done it this nice without them.

Not sure on the Rubicon. I want to do it again, but maybe with a smaller crowd.
