If my drive shaft angles are good I might be able to ha a flat belly skd witch would be nice! Also what do yall think this vent hole is for on the bellhousing?

The 1HZ bellhousing also has a vent, but with a rubber boot instead of being cast. Best guess is to let out excessive clutch dust?? Im definitely curious if there is a better explanation lol

With a boot like that, I wonder if they intend it to be a purge valve for hot air and dust without admitting outside dirt or water.

I got the factory 1fz motor mounts off. For my 2uz I have brackets and mounts from a gx470. I was going to make my own frame brackets then realized you can order some of the weld on factory brackets from toyota/ lexus so that's what I'm going to try tomorrow

I don't remember but got them ordered today. Apparently the last set in the country so we will see if they show up

So I got the mounts now. Interesting enough in a gx470 the motor is offset in the chassis. One mount is longer than the other. Of course they had to be modified.

Fits pretty well going to have to switch out the oil pan.

I put the front end back on to see how everything fits. Gotta say looking at it gets me excited! Need to make more room for the shock towers. May have to move the core support forward cuz the inner fenders get a little pinched so next step is to hang the doors and checked all the panel gaps.

Great job with the mounts. Looks like GX and and4Runner have the same ones. It's neat to see two totally disconnected projects end up with very similar install/design results. That crossmember is clean!

That's a significant step behind you. Keep at it. It'l be a driver before you know it.
