I do believe I just might grab myself a cold one right now.

I saw the 45 roll through Eagle CO today at about 0900. I stopped at the BK when I noticed a 45lv on a trailer. Met Mace in person, quite by accident. Says a bunch about you guys for helping Gene out, good luck and god speed.:D

fixed it for ya. we all know about the mini-truck crowd! :flipoff2:

Hehe, the mini truck crowd is getting me a new distributor for the price of shipping as we speak. My 4Runner broke down this weekend about 13 hours after I got my new commuter Civic up and running.... Figures.... I think it got jealous.... :flipoff2: Back atcha! :D

Nice meeting you too amigo. It was amusing having someone in the middle of nowhere on I-70 ask about the LV you are toting around :D

So is it still OK to camp in you neighbors parking lot? I plan on coming down the evening of the 11th and going home on the 13th.

I have not worked that out yet. I figured I'd get on that kinda stuff after I get back from Rubithon.:)

Got some good pics from Mace today to show me what I'm up against as far as body work. Over all, the LV looks to be in good shape. The body is rotted out under the tailgate and doors, and the rear quarter panels have been damaged by a collision from behind. Strange thing is, my body in these areas didn't have a bit of rust, but my floors were shot. Even through this LV is rotted through in these places the floors look to be in real good shape. The great news is, my rear quarter panels are still in good shape and will make good donors. Eric also left the seats in for me after reading that my seat frames got bent in the accident.

Georg, looks like I'll be needing Simon's number.

Here's some pics. . .

Gene, your description and Eric's match EXACTLY. IIRC, he said that you would have what you needed to finish this LV in your old one and now we can see that he was right.

ERIC, THIS IS WAY COOL!!!!

On behalf of myself and everyone else involved in this project I want to publicly thank you for your enormous generosity.

We will do our best to match your spirit.:)

Yeah Mark, that's exactly what he said. Even though my driverside took a pretty hard hit, somehow the rear area stayed intact enough in just the right places. Still can't believe what great shape the floors are in. Now if I drop my keys, I won't have to depend on the carpeting to keep them from ending up in the street.

Well hell, if it is in that good of a relative condition..

I'm accepting bids....

:flipoff2:

:D

btw, I was looking at the kick panels below the door. You would do very well just to remove the stock units completly and replace them with some thicker material to be used as sliders. It would be super easy to do. And you would then be considerably stronger. I know this is not going to be a rock rig. But it sure is handy to just be able to take a rock when needed without concern. Since you need to do a bit of work anyway :)
