Did you use ARB's threaded socket?

Not sure what that is.

Are you talking about the female plug? I just buy them at the auto parts store for $5

Just have to load the fridge and I’ll be off on my first real road trip in Project Patina.

Excited.

Went on the @HoneyBear Loop trail today. He did a great job picking this trail. Was all the new guys wanted to handle. Patina killed it. Never slipped a tire. We spent about 5 hours out there.

I’m packed up and moved from across the creek since I won’t be able to walk across the torrent tonight.

My 777 mile trip was 100% successful and 98% enjoyable.

Andy was bragging about his built in cooler in his 200 series yesterday on the HoneyBear Loop but I have a built in burrito warmer.

I crossed back into Mississippi under a nice cloud cover but as soon as that went away it got Africa hot and that 2% I had to take off the the above was roasting in this rust bucket for the last 100 miles.

Not gonna lie. This hurts my feelings.

I got Patina all cleaned up. After the entire trip I only have one thing I want to change on the truck.

My Flowmaster 40 and 3” exhaust has a note at 60-65, in my sweet spot, that is maddening.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good quiet muffler holla. If not I’ll just let my muffler guy choose it.

Nice work on the clean up.

Flowmaster and 3”. Whew. Ill never go there again

Lots of old folks love the walker hush series ;) Bet there is a parts guy that could hook you up with oem. Otherwise bigger is better. See the biggest can you can fit in there and start searching muffler specs.

Thanks for sharing all the cool picks and the experience! Makes us feel like we were along for the ride.

It was great seeing Patina in person! That is one sweet ride.

The Cruiser Corps seats get the most attention. Love them. Thanks Mike.

Patina is all clean and retreated. I’m going to put a thread together on my rust control. I’ve had a million questions on it.

I coated it good with BLO on the outside and the underside got a nice thick winter coat of Fluid Film

This stuff is really amazing. It’s like undercoating that you just reapply as it soaks in.

The muffler on my 77 is a 20176 Silerado take off. Fits nice, sounds good at idle and is quiet enough at highway speeds. Th real secret to a 40 on a road trip is bluetooth headphones.

I had to buy something from $or the other day that no one else makes so while I was in there I picked up these little weld in plates for where the door stoppers go on an early hard door. Mine were ripped off.

Lou was kind enough to burn them in for me.
