Yes you can ground to the fender, no problem. I have OEM ring terminals in all sizes of wire gauge/bolt size in stock if you want to do a really nice job of it. :)

Thanks @cruisermatt … but I’m a little impatient. 😂

Here goes Phase 2 of the lighting. Installed a set of OEM Fog lights. Used @Racer65 CityRacer’s fog light wiring harness, so awesome and exact length for running through the front frame horns.

Back on the headlights, none of my other lights turn on with the switch now. Wonder if I knocked something loose pulling the fuse panel.

Next up.. cleaning up the fresh air cowl valve.

Out with the old, in with the new.. just need to do a little rust convert and cleanup in the cowl area.

Finished the cowl vent cleanup and reinstall. Operates very well… then took it in a long drive since it’s in the 50’s today.

Finally back on Blue with the sun being out and temps being bearable. Diving back into windshield wiper project. Initially found a wire had broken loose, re-soldered that and replaced the 4 pin plug.

Tried testing the motor outside the vehicle, found the passenger side was trying to turn but the driver side was having issues. Stopped immediately.

Pulled it all apart today. Found the drivers side sprocket was not turning at all, got it to turn slightly with a screwdriver. Finally was able to get the mini C clip off the top, and punch out the assembly. Cleaned it up and it turns easily now.

Then piece by piece pulled the main portion apart to clean out the old grease and got everything cataloged for reassembly.

Going to dig out my ultra sonic and get things cleaned up next.

What do you use for fluid in your ultrasonic?

Not the winter weather I was expecting this year! Need to get another meetup together.

Open to suggestions… simple green or.. only used it for gun parts and brass. 😂

Yes! We need to kick off meet up’s earlier this year.

Parts all cleaned up pretty good with a simple green solution and just some touch ups with a brush and pipe cleaners. Everything reinstalled and threw some pewter paint on it (definitely not the prom queen resto) 😂

Needed to pull the soft top off because the front lip was sticking down too much and would impede sticking the wipers through, need to tuck it in tighter. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Installed the motor assembly and the wiper arms, new OEM blades courtesy of @Racer65
Aka: CityRacer. Both slow speed and slower speed work and it parks!!

Does this look correct for park? Or should I adjust the arms 1 more notch up??

Looks good there. But I would run the wipers to their full sweep position too to make sure you're not too far one way or the other. Sometimes it's the full sweep side which dictates where you want them when parked.
