Another color u may be interested is the new blue they are putting on the trd tundra and Tacoma. I think it's called cavalry blue. Just throwing out ideas. Also if your going with that kind of powerful motor, I would consider fj60 width axles. Then u can get a little more track width, yet choose wheels that give a good steering axis inclination which helps handling.

Decided on the 73' LQ9 40's colour ... going Audi Nardo grey with all black accents, and with the new wheels below that just arrived

We are rollin now on wheels



Motor / tranny / split case ... temporary for fitting body
We need to move driveline 1.5" forward and 1" to drivers









Tested out the headers ... perfect fit, got lucky

So engine has to go back approx. 1" as we have clearance issues with the fan ... guess this is why we pre-assemble everything !!

Make sure you cut out your floor enough to allow you to the pull the Trans or tcase in case you need to remove for repair.

OK ... ditched the crappy tailgate that the original builder had installed and replaced with proper Aqualu Industries gate .... WAY better








Installed gas tank/Fuel cell .. BIG thanks to Jim at Tojoproducts, great product for a great price. I am going to retrofit the fuel system with components from Tanks-Inc. and a beauty filler cap from Ride-Tech
