Thanks for the advice on the axles. I think the 14 bolt will be a nice addition. I am however half tempted to just slide the body onto a chevy frame for the work involved...Ouch that will get some harsh comments. But eitherway me and that Z-28 are going to make cruiser history when I spank that AZZ. :flipoff2: And when we are done at the track we will have a hill climb contest out at 360. :hillbilly:

i get to change back to my cruiser for the hill climb right?

Nice. I still volunteer my 62 as the donor vehicle.

Sent you an email earlier.....

Need to clear out a couple trucks I am working on now then I will be able to breath again. So it is on hold till I can get more space and a bigger lift. Had even considered waiting for the new 4.5 to come out. Smaller and lighter but not sure if I am that patient. Th engine and tranny are back together just digging through 2 different wiring harness to figure out what can get cut out. ECU programming is a cake walk found a company to do that for me. I wasn't going to cut up my 62 for the swap but I am still on the fence. Sure would be nice to get it sitting in a frame though.

Hey dude holler at me when you get a chance! Need an update.....

Randy's been AWOL lately, must be deep in this project or something else......have not heard but a single peep from him on a 40 conversion project I have going (that is gathering dust).

I'm very interested in the 4.5. Supposedly it fits anywhere a 5.3 fits. Apparently it has the exhaust/intake ports reversed (so the turbo mounts where the intake manifold is). Rumors have it at upper 20s mpg highway in a 1/2 ton.

not..

Damn, that Allison makes the 700r look like a complete joke...

Any word??

Lookin for signs of life on this project.

x2 did this/ is this still going to happen?

dont think payment / delivery was ever made and taken on the engine and tranny.
