Frank you will be driving yours before I will. I still need to prep an engine, get a harness etc. And do a 6.0 conversion that has been here waiting. GOTTA HAVE CASH FLOW!

Leave it up to my favorite Cruiser crap supplier to keep mine and everyone else's habit free of stress! :bounce: Done at the day job I see!

OMGOSH, awesome awesome, watching for sure....
cheers

SWEEEEET! I bet you'll set the world record for the fastest cruiser. This is so awesome! I'll be watching this thread every step of the way.

Can't wait. :bounce:

When you are done, you should find someone with a BJ 60 to race.

I know where there is a 12HT 40 that I have a date with when mine is done! Panoramic look out cause the D-MAX is coming.

Scored the axles today. Got to go get a look and see how they will measure up.

i have good faith that the 12HT 40 will loose (tho it does look bad a$$ in there!) I have good strong faith in the 6.6TD

The Tranny

Here is the tranny next to a 700R4. The dimensions are 27.35 in. long x 9.96 in.

The weight is around 350 lbs. I really need to look at that suspension again.
Tranny comparison.webp

Any progress to report?

Trying to get my garage cleaned out of all the projects. Found a good truck to put it in. Problems I am finding are my hoist will get the engine up off the truck but the entire assy. is going to be to much weight. Also the space required....NEED TO GET THE GARAGE CLEARED OUT!!! Working on getting it home this week. Then I can look at getting the truck. My CFO is starting to get antz with the price tag on the truck. But I think once I get going she will feel much better. I am having Big Blue moved to his wife's house to clear out space. :frown: Sure wish it was mine to work on but sentimental value means nothing when you don't have th title. I am moving at a snails pace but I am getting there. Unfortunately I have 3 conversion in works right now. Got to get the project cruisers out before mine comes in.

Ohhhh C'on..... you starting to sound like me

Get going !!!

more power

astim allen would say it:it needs more power(arr, arr, arr).good luck on this project man,and don't forget to be safe at all times.this is heavy metals after all.i nearly lost one of my fingers trying to line up a 6bt cummins head.:o john

Randy, nice work and you will truly need to put your name to the test.... I aint scared; except if you are a ricer at the lights beside you.....

maybe we will have to teke em down to the track once it done and you can run it against my new Z28 could be a good race i may even loose if you go to a large turbo.

For axles I think I'd go with 14BFF rear and D60 front........ the cool thing about the D60 front is I think it's the same in Fords.........

Go over to CK5.com( CK5 Forums )those damn axles are everywhere..........prolly tons of 'em in TExas too

Diesels rule.......hybrids drool

edit: just went back and read through the posts.....all y'alls already got axles

Thanks for the advice on the axles. I think the 14 bolt will be a nice addition. I am however half tempted to just slide the body onto a chevy frame for the work involved...Ouch that will get some harsh comments. But eitherway me and that Z-28 are going to make cruiser history when I spank that AZZ. :flipoff2: And when we are done at the track we will have a hill climb contest out at 360. :hillbilly:
