looks like you could use a few more jack stands?

Looks great .Where did the rotors ,calipers and disc brackets come from ? Do the calipers use banjo fitting type hoses?

Brackets are from Twisted Customs, rest is from Advanced auto parts. I can give you the part numbers if you want them.

Brackets were 12 bucks, rest of the stuff was like 130.

Yes, banjo fittings.

Sorry for the delay on the build, wifes having a baby and I've been putting in 100+ hours a week trying to get bills squared away before the madness hits!

I've gotten little progress on the truck. I have been buying parts a little along though, got the SAW coilovers and all my link material bought, welded up the TNT truss on the rear, got the 3spd STaK in, etc...

I'll post some pics soon and I hope to get on it in a couple months! Got a Jeep that HAS to vacate my premises first before I can start on mine.

Thanks for the interest guys, I honestly get so excited whenever I think about getting this thing done!

Jason

BTW, It's tan.

Truss is welded up and got MOST of my parts here, still waiting on the front housing to come from the CNT and seats.

PARTS!

Change of plans... I'm scrapping this build. There's no sence in tearing this FJ down to a body and frame when I have 2 other ones I can do that to. I'm gonna throw the FJ60 axles in this ho and ride out. I'll just pony up and build a steering 9" and use all the bling parts to build a buggy like they deserve...

I need a rig now. I've been over a year without and this s***'s getting old. I gotta wheel...

Theres nothing wrong with a full body crawler....in fact I drive mine all the time and people go absolutley bonkers over it...,...Why not build it to drive too....just my opinion..........street legal crawlers are cool!!!!................Rod:cool:

This one's still getting built. Just alot milder. I'll post pics when I get underway. It's getting a full cage, Beard racing seats (with a bench for the kiddies) built FJ60 axles locked front and rear SPOA, hydo assist, 37 Iroks, and a SM465 tranny swap.

I just want to build a buggy... And I have the parts to do it w/o sacraficing this one as my dailey fun truck. I have a complete stock 77 as well as an extra 40 tub and hood to cut a a cowl/windshield/firewall out of for the buggy build.

thats cool.....I'm trying to get set to build a single seat rear engine super light buggy and I'll tow it to the rocks behind my big green cruiser.....I want...I want....need more time...hehe:cheers:

Well I hope you keep both builds in this thread - just drooling over the parts you've got stashed now...

I'm gonna start a new thread for the buggy... I'm considering just building it up and selling it as a turn key. I'm content with my 72 and the money I make on the buggy could be a good start toward building me a new shop.

Let me knock the dust off of this thread....

Update:

I moved a few years ago, had a couple kids, and moved again (took a job, didn't work out, BIG mess... etc.)

Fast forward to 2012, I've finally got back to my baby. Over the years I've had to sell things off (STAK, Hi9, etc :crybaby:) but I kept some other stuff. I started back on it today, and have finally got the resources to finish it! :D

New plan:

*New paint with Line-X inside
*New roll cage (scrapped the old one in lieu of a family style cage that will fit the hard top and jumper seats)
*RamJet
*TH350
*D300 case
*Built FJ60 axles, SPOA, 4:88's, Full Detroit rear, ARB front, 6 shooter knuckles, Longs, Hydro assist, discs F/R
*36" TSL SX's

Can't wait to get cracking on it. It's been years since I've fired up a welder, bent a stick of tube, or even much turned a wrench... I'm pumped to get my baby done...

Here's a day one pic (oh how she's digressed...).

The linked "radical" build got toned down, I'm just going leafs and mild build now, but it should look good when done.

Have you photos with the mounted coilover and link???

Do you mount coilover ahead and behind??? It has 3link or 4 link

The sway are of 10 " or 12 " all the extension was winning??

best regard

I never linked it. I sold all that stuff and went back to SPOA leafs...

It was going to be leaf in the front triangulated 4 link in the rear with 14" CO's. I'm not sure what you mean by mounting CO's "ahead and behind"... When I mount coilovers in the rear I usually angle them slightly forward, and mount them to the top centerline of axle, if feasible.
