Over all truck has been running great!
Entered it into our local car show here in Culver City. No other FJ60 but mine and @Ghetto Fireman beautiful fj45 truck.

When was/is the car show? Veteran's Park? Always a great crowd there.

Drove her up to The Valley Hybrid swap meet in Manteca Ca. Didn’t skip a beat and made the Grapevine with no problem.
600+ miles.

Update since my last post on this rig!
Getting her ready for SAS#6 knuckle rebuild, front pinion seal replacement, oil change, added new High lift jack mounts too the Yakima racks, installed my plug and play USB charger from @cruiser head.
Couldn’t switch out the tranny and clutch this time around but got my by pass hose from Cruiser outfitters transfer case to tranny.
All in all the cruiser is ready and running like a champ.

I haven’t updated this thread in awhile.
I know my last post was my knuckle job prior to doing SAS#6.
Well I did SAS#6 and I gotta say I had a blast.
Met a lot of cool people and saw some awesome sights in Ouray CO.
The 60 drove excellent on the way up.
No overheating and it did ok with fuel.
It wasn’t till the last day of SAS#6 that my fuel pump decided to go out.
@crusiertrash had a brand new in a box in his 60.
He was kind enough to give it to me to get home.
Once home I ordered a new one from cruiser outfitters and had it shipped to @CruiserTrash.
Thanks again.
Since it’s 1800 mile trip the smog pump has started to make noise. So I pulled it off the truck and also noticed it was oily and wet. So that tells me my PS pump is leaking. So I pulled the PS pump.
I have brand new PS pump on my 2F that came out of Dusty my previous rig that I parted out.
And also removing the smog pump from that same engine.
As I am in here I am going to get the A/C system worked on and charge it with R134.
Doing the drive up and back from Ouray CO. And no A/C was horrible.
My girl my Dog and myself where miserable in the 110+ heat driving through NM, to the four corners and then driving to Chandler AZ to my brothers.
That drive made me put the A/C high on the priority list of things to fix on the 60.
So that’s where I am at with this rig.
Don’t really drive it much but on Long trips.
It has been a very reliable rig and fun to drive.

Send a air pump to BZ Rebuilders in Canoga Park and have it rebuilt for like 200 bucks. Incidentally, they also rebuild P/S pumps and boxes as well.
Thanks
I have a couple smog pumps I have ready to send out to them.

@RodrigzCrzr Great to meet you this summer, and I'm glad your 60 trucks around the west with minimal issues! I too have had a leaking PS pump make a smog pump go bad - on my previous 60. My current PS pump is leaking ever-so-slightly and I've been trying to keep the smog pump cleaned off, maybe once every week I go in with a rag and mop up the ATF juice from that valley on top of the smog pump that collects fluid. +1 for BZ Rebuilders - they did this current smog pump for me and it's got maybe 20k trouble free miles on it.

I wonder if a little fluid deflector can be made and attached to the top of the smog pump so that PS pump trouble doesn't take both pumps out. The "Smog Pump Saver". I guess I should probably take a stab at fabbing something and then drawing it in CAD. Not sure what the desire level would be if I made more than one. It's usually cheaper at the laser cutter to do a small run than just one.

I would be done for one

I would be down for that. I was thinking the same when I was removing it how hard would it be to make a drip shield to save the smog pump.
Do it! Let’s see what you come up with.

Happy New Year everyone!!
Well I haven’t updated this thread in awhile.
I recently had to smog test the 60 this past month.
I recently ordered spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor, PCV valve fuel filter and changed the oil and filter.
After the tuneup I drove it around town for a good 1 1/2 and drove straight to my local smog guy.
I always dead this test. Well it turned out I passed and got me two more years of registration on the rig. Pretty proud moment.
Other than getting it smogged the 60 has been just sitting and not being used. Only moving it for street cleaning once a week.
Sometimes I feel I should just sell the 60 and my 40 since really I don’t drive them much.
But I like them too much to even sell them. So for now I will keep them.

Happy New Year and Good work Jorge! Your trucks are an inspiration to see each time I get a chance to visit you, although I am partial to your 60 over the 40 of course ;)

Thank you!
Watching your bulls is intriguing to say the least it is going to be a clean engine bay.

I had a little time today to do some work on my FJ60. So this is my update of a few things I did that I have been meaning to do.
First is I got rid of a mess of extra wiring from the previous stereo and once in there i checked why my vent/recirculate lever was not working. So I took apart the dash to get to that pesky cable.
1677802206547.jpeg

And what i found that one of the loop ends was broken and it was at the lever. Need to find that and replace it.

While I removed the face plate I decided to remove my gauge cluster cause I was having a intermittent RPM gauge working then not working.
1677803028286.jpeg

So I removed the RPM gauge and pulled out the RPM gauge from a extra cluster I had and got it replaced.
1677802257004.jpeg

Next I removed the dash cap on the original dash to see what the dash looked like.
And I see why the cap was on it cause it was pretty bad.
1677802350189.jpeg

So I went up the rafters of my garage where I had a dash pad from my previous fj60 i stowed away.
It has a few blemishes and cracks but overall much better than what was on it.
What I did also was removed the end vents off the old dash and installed them to the center of the replacement dash. So now I can open and close all four vents how I want. It was really for my GF.
1677802544889.jpeg

Installed the dash and I also installed my original radio I have that is none functioning but wanted the dash to look period correct. Luckily i still had the under dash brackets an for the radio faceplate and knobs.
1677802589465.jpeg

I also removed the rear license plate light moulding cause I had a bulb I couldn’t remove it needed a little encouragement and installed a LED bulb to match. Now both my license lights work. (Sorry no pics).
Over all I think I got quite a few things done.
That have been put in the back burner.
I still need to remove and replace my headliner and re seal my gutters on the roof and paint the roof.
Here is the final look of my dash with radio and new closable vents.

@RodrigzCrzr There's a whiz on here who fixes OEM radios and stuff. I couldn't find the thread but I know @ToyotaMatt knows where it's at.

I took it too two locations and they both said the FM output was bad. The AM works.
It’s some chip that can’t be found.
Thanks though.
I think I am going to go with a hidden radio.

I may steal that idea since I have gauges where the radio was. And it works with 24 volts!
