Hey y’all, usually not one for build threads but hoping to add to the community some. Will recap the last few months over a few posts. Really happy with how this thing is coming along so far!

Dec 2019. First day home after picking it up from the dealer. Was passively in the market for a while so was really glad when this deal popped up. 2011 with 150k.

With it’s garage-mate, our Flex Dream built HJ61 imported from Japan.

First mod: kept the Baja Designs Squadrons from our 5th 4Runner (the 200s predecessor) so figured I would try and make them work. Little modification needed but no problem.

Wanted more lift out of the AHC system (past the normal sensor adjustment) so made some simple brackets in the front to adjust the sensor further. In the rear I didn’t have to make a bracket but drilled a hole higher in the existing bracket. Still has full range of motion.

Any concerns in your locality with the tires extending outside the fenders?

Nice!! Have you re-geared with those 35's?

Cut both bumpers (temporary). Rear fenders hammered flat on the inside for clearance. Did a little wheeling to make sure everything functions ok.

I think it would be pretty cost effective (and cool looking) to have a local welder build you a simple rear tube bumper like the one pictured. Looks like it would be easy to integrate with you rear hitch for added strength

Just a thought 🤷🏻‍♂️

None at all, thankfully.

Nope. Really not even that noticeable of a difference from stock in my opinion.

@Prime awesome build. Your 61 is badass and it looks like your LX is following suit! I haven’t heard of those tires before, what’s your initial impression?

Thanks! Tires are great. Buddy of mine is a dealer for them and runs the same tire in 40” on 2 of his builds. So far so good for me!

You rolling without a spare?

Yes for now, but not for long.

Since you brought it up... work in progress.

@Prime Man you aren't wasting any time! Curious to see what your plans are for the sliders. Are those prebuilt from somewhere, or are you fabing them yourself? Curious how you mount them to the truck (bolt/weld, etc).

Also, is that flex pic on the trail trail somewhere off the GA Traverse? Looks familiar...
