Donated time at a local veterans center stocking things going to vets in need... Wanted to go for a spin in the Toyota ... Was only able to play footsies with it :)

I think that was a camera slip actually ... But... Hay it's still a Toyota :)

The Young Marine's were in full attendance as well...

@Lycent looks like a railroad signal :) ... nice!

made some 3D prints of a new light bracket... this is because I read PO manual page number 324 ... it clearly states "Do NOT leave well enough alone, it gets lonely."

so this is the new bracket... for now :)

and if anybody likes it I can make more

@JohnnyC it's actually a targeting system. Look through the top hole and hit what you see.

Seriously though, seeing your post made me take a look at mine. You can see the minor rust and all-around nastiness of it...stripped it down and am waiting for primer to dry as I write this. Thanks for the small project!

Left my truck alone and did the driveway and our neighbors driveway (an 80th birthday present ) with my youngest son ... He was ready this year because he got the blue shovel for Christmas ... And this is the first he used it ... He was pretty happy ... Then got alil slap happy with the throwing of snowballs ... Good thing he's cute :)

Reminds me of my parents - I always got tools or something similar for Christmas . Still have the #12 grain scoop I got at 12yrs old - lower back is shaped similar to the shovel as well . Used that thing through the blizzard of '78-9 , 4-5' of snow and no one went anywhere for a week . Still don't care much for sweets - seems I always got paid in cookies and those nasty fruit cakes from all the old folks in the neighborhood . It is nice to see a parent teach a kid some form of manual labor in an age where most kids can barely figure out how to put fuel in their cars...

Finally got a bit of time today... However... Had to run my wife's car to get timing belt ... Plugs... 3 recall things ... Etc done ... Had the grandparents/inlaws come over ... With the what cha doin questions

Then neighbor came over with the whatcha doin questions ... Then a retired friend came over that I hadn't seen in 8 years he and his wife had the whatcha doing questions ... And then we bs'd how bad NYS is for quite awhile lol

Then my sons friend came over ... He had nothing to say :meh: ... But his dad had the whatcha doin questions

Then we went to pick up the wife's car before they closed ... Came home for dinner

Wife had then How much longer questions to finish the top ...

I honestly have no idea how I even got one stitch done...

Thought it was clear the next few days ... Nope ... Tomorrow is rain :meh:

Well here's what got done... And sad to say the old top will never go back on :(

I got a big time sweet tooth lol

At work I rebuild chairs ... Fix desks ... Fix shelving all for baked goods :)

When I weld chairs/desks/lunch tables and mower for maintenance its for coffee :)

that looks like an ice-ball not a snowball-no hittin' me with that thing!

I am greatful for a mild winter ... My oldest girl hit me this year... The bump was almost the same size as what she threw ... Not the happy daddy

That is looking amazing, awesome work!

Thanks!!! It's totally a rush... Wish I had more time to really put into it... There is a long list of mistakes and not likes lol ... But... When retirement comes I can spend quality time making something more quality :)

Thanks for the encouraging comments!!

Sides attached

Fitting with back panel

See sew sew

Fight with a not so deep throat signer :) ... As much as I wanted to double stitch it all ... I'm not ... I'm calling it almost done lol

Need to put on straps ... The signer hated them ... Killed the throat plate and needle... Will be riviting instead... Soldering iron set screw snapped ... Off tomorrow to harbor freight to get another cheapie one :)
