Got a bunch of things done today....
Helped my wife at work (we work together) to start the day (crab feast, birthday party, and wedding charter cruise catering events today)
Shelf/storage and fridge back in for the GER trip
Yeti holder attached to the back of my center console
Whiteline HD rear sway bar and @GGM rear diff skid installed...I trimmed a little on top to clear the fatty sway bar
Trimmed my rear fender flares that both were getting bitten hard at GSMTR...pic makes the trim look nasty, didn't see that from the top side!
Installed my ARK front fender splash guards
Pulled my outdrive off of my boat, growling/stiff bearings...project for another day!
Finally...picking up mom for our regular Sunday dinner....tenderloin, polenta, and green beans...Rita's Italian Ice for the ride home!

Shoutout to @JakeisbadatThis and @kouki for helping me with my bumper install this weekend!

A few months ago I placed an order for the then-unreleased TCC 100 series high clearance bullbar. LRA is selling the TCC Australian bumper in the US and I was 1 of 11 people to be in the first batch. The bumper arrived at Zack's house the day after I left for COTR (because of course it did) and he let me keep it in his garage until I had the time to install it. The weather this weekend was perfect for it, so we made it happen.

Jake stopped by with his angle grinder and was able to get the bumper to fit correctly with some slight clearance modifications on the part of the bumper that mounts to the frame rails. LRA or TCC will be sending a bracket that allows for all of their hardware to properly fit US spec trucks, but for now it's on there with the 4 bolts that are for the factory recovery points in the frame rail. I also got the wrong pod lights that were supposed to come with the bumper and I didn't get the turn signal indicators that come with it as well, but I was told that was an error in the first batch. The total lack of instructions was a bummer too, but we made it work. Without Jake and Zack I wouldn't have been able to get this thing mounted. Thanks again guys!

Zack also helped with wiring up my lights and got them connected to my AuxBeam panel.

I'm loving the look of the bumper. I was a tad skeptical in ordering a completely new-to-market one, but am really glad I went with it.

I also tightened up the torsion bars so that the truck is slightly more level. I think another turn or two will get it where I want it.

My daughters 06 Matrix has an immobilizer issue also very random. I found a thing on the Internet to disable the immobilizer temporarily. It’s something like putting the key in the passenger’s door and turning it one way then the other, and it disables it. It’s a pain in the ass.

Thanks. My brother mentioned a similar thing he had to do on his old prius and said it took a while to get the sequence exactly right. I am going to give it a shot later this week.

On the plus side, the coolant level in the overflow has not moved in 2000 miles since noticing the coolant crust on the water pump so will forget about that for a while...
