Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on?

Finished the plate holder.
Now have to wire it up.
Isn't the license plate light supposed to shine down on the plate, not in the eyes of the lucky slob behind you?

PS - I liked your old top better. The one made out of the old billboard sheet.

Thats for the rear high beamers!

My tarp top had gotten to meany holes in it. It just funneled the water to my tool bags.

Finished installing the full-float axle hubs. Still have to install and bleed the calipers and install the antiwrap bar. But at least it's now under the truck.

Got the rocker assembly all cleaned up. Took forever, the rockers were all seized in place with sludge. Lots of gasoline, a paint brush, and a syringe to clear all the oil pathways and she looks serviceable again.

Next problem. I can't get the damn air rail off the head. I removed all the union nuts. But it is stuck in the lower bolts (that you remove and replace when you desmog). When I crack the lower nuts, it puts torque on the rail, and will break.

I am pretty sure I have to remove the air rail to skim the head.

Got the frame done, the deck material cut to shape, and 4 of 8 of the mounts done on my daughters mini truck. I'll post up more picks when I get them.

Yeah, when they are that far along I don't know if you can save them. I twisted many off. Try bathing them in evaporust for a day or so. It might take the teeth out of the rust. Then lube with ATF or something and try again.

Try some heat from a small torch. These lines are notoriously easy to break. Patience and a light touch on the wrenches are an asset. Key is to not turn the fitting without the nut that holds the line to it turning. Be sure to get the nuts lossened on the fittings before turning the fittings out.

Well shiet. Axle seal is leaking on the 3rd gen 4runner again. Noticed it when my rear brakes were smoking.
Now I can't remember if I ever fixed my 1st gen from its overheating issue. I remember replacing the thermostat, but the one I received wasnt the cool 2 stage one. I'll just have to pull it and drill a small hole.

***yea. Warming the truck up now and it's warmer than it should be at idle.

LoOKs like truck projects this weekend...

Well, radiator is cold when engine is hot so the thermostat is Def the issue, asumming there is coolant:hmm:
Don't really need a thermostat in the summer...:hillbilly:

Time for a valve, timing, carb tune in the 40 too. That sucker is running rich enough to detonate fuel from the tail pipe if I step on it.

...Looks like a great weekend. Wrenching, burgers, drinking, and getting waist deep in some hot women water [coolant].

Fixed it for ya....that auto correct is a pain!:hillbilly:

So, after replacing the seal and looking close at the brake pads I'm now thinking that I have a bad wheel cylinder slightly leaking and locking in the expanded position. Explains the minimal greasy gunk everywhere and why the wheel is still locking up.

Well, here's to hoping.
