Looks like you are ready to rock and roll. If you look earlier in the thread you will see the plugs are even the same color

probably over thinking this but before i go further, i ended up buying the entire dash wire harness and i may as well been staring at dna double helix trying to find the right pigtails. however, after going end to end on the harness, i matched the plugs that were in same general area of one another that appeared to match size and colors of everyone else's post. just want to confirm i am using the correct pigtails. thanks for the countless hours everyone has contributed to this thread. the only wire i can see that looks different from other peoples is the thick green and white wire ( part of the A port) View attachment 2216052which appears to be a sleeve for a few different wires.

Mine had that same thick white and green insulation covering several of the stereo wires together. I believe it is some kind of shielding. I retained as much of it as I could.

looks good! I removed all the shielding for labeling of wires, see my video posted above.

Was thinking long and hard about doing this but I think I'm going to just stick with the USA Spec BT module. If anyone local to SoCal is looking to do this conversion this guy has LXs and LCs that he's parting out. He confirmed that he has a digital bezel for $200. Sounds like he would discount it if you give him your old navi head unit.

Hi guys, I am interested in attempting this install. My AC unit has Recycled Air, Auto, and Outside Air settings. Auto is used with the smog sensor. Is that feature lost post-install of the new system?

Please post a photo of your AC unit in question. I do not think I have seen a smog sensor.

I had not seen that on my 2002 LC but I didn't scroll through every setting. I think that will be lost. My 2002 LC EWD does not show a smog sensor.

The way this screen is accessed is by holding down the Inside/Auto/Outside air button for some time. Here's pics of the exact details from the "Navigation System Owner's Manual" (pics).

This is interesting. If you look at post #3 it appears you can keep that function as long as you go with a Lexus AC digital controller. If you look at post #11 you will see my old TV screen did not have that feature.

I found and bought this Lexus AC digital controller for under $300 on eBay. Others were $500 and $600, so I think I got a pretty good deal. I browsed the parting-out section of this forum but could not find the same AC digital controller.

Next, I need to order a Metra 70-8113 harness, solder seal wire connectors, heat shrink tubing, a double din stereo head unit, and speakers.

I will attempt refoaming the rear sub(s). Some people have said they ran new wires while others have said they reused the factory wire terminals. I plan to test the latter first.

Please give a recommendation on what should I do with the CD changer inside the center console and dvd player under the front passenger seat. Also, what is the amp situation? I read some details about bypassing or replacing an amp--but I'm still confused. Please help MUD!

Man Bill I thought you would have been done last summer :)

I would recommend Crutchfield for the radio. If you are doing the speakers they usually have some deal where they give you half off speakers and provide amp bypass if you want it or other wiring stuff free. Glad you finally got those pigtails. Junkyards are very difficult to deal with in my experience.

About a month ago, we went camping and the water was WAY WAY up, which shorted either my amp or nav unit. So this prompted me to start figuring out what radio i wanted, and ended up ordered a Rhino Radio for the Std LC 3 Knob set up. SO @TXSunDevil ..... I'm finally getting to this. Pulled all this crap I bought like 3 years ago lol, that's a move and 4 other cars ago. The LX is my only constant! Pulled dash tonight, going to dig in tomorrow. I figured I'd get the three knob working so when the Rhino comes in I can just drop it in.

I think I'm going to try this Kenwood amp, it's VERY close dimensionally to the CD changer and should keep it out of the water :)

You guys have any recommendations for good door speakers? Are you keeping the tweeters to drop them?

Worked from 11-6 today at a snails pace and got it done, everything is working but the compressor isn't kicking on. Calling it for now, I breezed through but didn't see this issue, maybe I missed it.

Looking at the Map is it B-15/I-11 "Magnetic Clutch Relay" ?

@TXSunDevil I just realized you are in San Antonio, TX. As I mentioned in the original posts, I moved from Houston to SA. Your input on this topic was invaluable.

When our Coronavirus lockdown is over, I hope to see you around town.

B14/I11 connection looks ok, AC light flashes, looks like i need to check my relay and AC charge.

Nice, I remember you mentioning moving, but didn't see SA. I have a White 02 live inside 410 near the Quarry. Hope SA is working out well for you
