Look there is no stronger box then a sagnaw. I don't understand why guys debate this and try and try to polish a terd by using other boxes. Look at 4x4 labs frombie setup Its the s_ _ t and will not let you down. Besides you can port the box for steering asst and add a cylinder. All the dirt track mud racers and sand rail guys use them and its a reason for that.

Hmmm, swapped out to heims huh?

Interesting. Not too familiar with this... will this be stronger/better/etc?!

the steering shaft had been mangled by the PO it had been cut and lengthened by welding a couple of pieces of angle iron together in the middle. My guy was gonna make a new one but couldn't get a tap for the threads it was an uncommon size ( i don't recall what the size was) he was quoted $100 to have the tap made and another $100 to tap the ends.....soooo he built the new rod with heims in about 20 min and says it will be stronger, more reliable, remove steering slop, and virtually never ware out. It's what he runs on his rig (a full on monster cummins dodge that is like 12 feet tall) so I say's sounds good to me. I cant wait to drive it!!!!

I am running 3/4" high strength heims, rated for a static load of 56,000 lbs, and F911, 3/4" bolts, I am pretty confident in them being a much stronger setup then stock, and it makes more sense for a tierod to me, easy to replace the tubing if you need.
