Very nice !

Q: Without lifting the roof up eg when just stopping for lunch, how easy is it to get inside your fridge ? Can you sit on your bench and do it ? What make and size is your fridge ?

The fridge is an Engle (sp?) 62/61qt an you can absolutely get into it without raising the top.

Quite happy to provide measurements on anything.

Do you have a layout with all dimensions?

I'm currently working on on a layout and trying to figure out the best way to approach it on a 2017 model.

Mine is currently undergoing testing for the Japanese market (even though they are built in Nagoya), i.e., DPF certification, etc. It's at the importer right now so I don't have access.

I will get back to you soon on the measurements.

A shot from the Northern CA coast.

I have an ARB bumper and a 12k lb winch sitting on the garage floor.......will find a place to put the French license plate.

A few shots of the electrical work. All of this is housed behind the driver and passenger seats. I think that the electrical turned out great. So far I am "very" impressed with the Lithium Ion battery from Dragonfly.

Looks like Goose-Gear did a really good job on your build. I thought they were using 80/20 extrusions on all of their builds. Have they changed their design? I've been thinking of going with Redarc but I'll have to look into Sterling too.

i think Brian went a little different route on this one. Pretty light weight but very strong.

That's good to know. I can see black extrusions (metal?) with holes. Care to share what was used? I have already put together something in Sketchup using Misumi 20 x 20mm extrusions, but it would be nice to know how much weight might be saved going this route.

By the way, I live in Japan and contacted Goose-Gear about purchasing templates for the floor and side walls. They are not willing to sell them, so I'm going to have to build mine out the hard way using Sketchup. If MY templates work, I will offer them to anyone that wants them.

This weekend we made a little progress on the water tank. The tank is built for the most part but will need to be notched in a couple of places before placement. Also, we are devising how it will be attached. Likely a nut will be welded onto the tank with a bolt paced through the cargo area. Still thinking about that.

Currently the tank measures 33x23x10, so if my math is correct it is a 33 gallon tank. It will likely end up somewhere near the 30 gallon capacity mark after fitment. 250lbs of water. Maybe I'm made entirely of water?? I won't have to keep a full tank but it will be nice to have the capacity when it is needed.

A few shots of the work. Also, a bonus pick of what the welder does for an actual living. He welds aluminum chandeliers in the form of trees. Apparently there is a high end market for this. This is the kind of person that you find in Portland.

Also, my coconspirators in the Troopy with a "what's taking so long" look.

about like getting a root canal......

Got the new tires and wheels mounted today. Went with Cooper S/T Maxx in size 235/85R/16. We also mounted up the same tire in 255/85R/16 but it looked too big....wider than I wanted. I'll be putting on some black lug nuts soon.

Pic is of me and Garth at A-N-T Tire in North Portland. Garth is a great guy and I really like doing business with him. Highly recommended.

Did these end up going on without spacers? What was the cost on the wheels?

Thanks!

No spacers.

$1,400 for 5 wheels delivered from Stockton, Ca to Portland, Or.
