So by choosing to make my new keychain in black, I've opened a question that I don't have an answer for: Why do some 55s have orange logos and some have black?

Trying to figure out if the different colors correlate with model year, body color, etc.

So a great contributing comment would be:

Year made: 1976
Logo Color: Orange
Body Color: Blue/white
Degree of certainty that its original/correct: 100%

OR if someone knows this info already please share it and we can laugh at how uninformed I was.....

well so far it looks like it *might* be early/late model like the 60 series/62 series logo change rather than body color related. 1967-79 is the range, right?

Interesting. I don't have the Toyota emblem on the tailgate. According to ToyoDIY that started in 12/76. My '77 build date is October '76.

100 percent that it is the one it came with from the factory.

Ok, ok, it used to be grey and white.
