Also weird that Mr. T acknowledged that the people in the back seat might want an armrest, which indicates that they understood the level of comfort that armrest technology could bring to people that felt like they needed it.

Up front? No sir, you'll get nothing and like it.

Can't let the driver get too comfortable. He might fall asleep at the wheel. This is why the Spirit of St. Louis was designed specifically to be hard to fly and why many BMW's had no cupholders well into the current decade.

After some consideration I simply done have the time and skills to do this mod, anyone in SoCal want a set of LR disco seats for cheap?

I'm doing this now. It is not that bad. I'm using the Planted seat brackets and disco ii seats.

You have to cut the seat rails flat but not grind off the rivets. 3 of the four holes you need are already in the rail but you have to drill 4 new holes in the Planted seat bracket. It's really tight spacing-wise and some of my holes are actually notches.

Hey Beej. Do you have any pics or vids you can share? I just bought a pair of LR Disco seats and I am trying to figure out my best option for the install. Thanks.

I'm interested in replacing front seats with Disco II seats. My rig has manual seats and I prefer to stay manual slide and adjustments. Will the Planted bracket work for this application? I've also considered Tundra and FJ Cruiser seats but not sure they will fit.

Thanks in advance.

I picked up a pair of LR3 seats last weekend and read through this entire thread. Thanks for the info, gents.

Probably everything you need to know in this thread. Not much to it other than building or modifying the brackets. I ditched mine though and went back to some recovered LC seats. I decided I like them better.

I read through a few pages to see if OP ended up making a bracket and posted a little prematurely. I've read through it now, seems doable, I am going to start looking for some disco 2 seats.

I'm still loving my 2006 LR3 seats as they're way more supportive on long trips than the 80 seats. I still haven't hooked up the bun warmers though 🤣. The brackets were DIY and easy to

I was wondering about those haven't found much about them. Did you have to do anything other than the brackets?

Hello, I bought a set of Disco4 seats in perfect condition.
Dis any of the LR2 or LR3 seats require cutting the floor panel bump away?
Disco4 tracks are 470mm wide, so those do not fit straight into the space which is there.
