How much higher, if any, do you think the seats will be raised once you have you brackets on?

Pass seat will clear the rear heater that is underneath it?Height seems to be the about the same, however I have not taken the final before and after measurements. The seat has height adjust and until I get the wiring completed I wont know for sure where the seat is currently set. Seats are pretty thin.
Also gonna talk to a guru about a seat swap that can be mended to accept the Mr T power plug from the LR seat being disco or RR. I am trying guys.I am just asking cause I do not know. Are R Rover seats really different from disco ones? Could these fit? I ask cause I am going to talk to an engineer bud and welder friend about all this mess.

Do you have a wiring diagram for the seats?

Yes the female bolts to the seat. The other end of the belt (anchor side) bolts to the b pillar floor on and 80. The LR goes through B pillar like the 80 but then bolts to the seat.@Mr Cimarron the female portion of the 80 series belt bolts to the seat, not the B pillar.
For those of you who want the least hassle swap and have access to a welder. Get a set of universal sliders from summit and weld/bolt them to the factory Toyota feet. Then you can bolt 1/4 bar stock across the tops of these to provide you with the foundation for whatever seat you want to use.
To the original OP, the best thing that could be made is a set of universal feet with the slider attachment already in place. Then its a matter of bolting/welding whatever seat you want on top of this arrangement. That way your not just limited to the Land Rover seats. I believe this is already being made, though I don't know of anyone who has used it.
This exact thing was brought up today when I talked to an engineer friend about helping this along. What you said is all very true and sad that we live in a sue happy society these days. That being said, this is doable but the risk for the supplier is not worth the benefits of the LR seat. It was fun to dream about this but I am gonna stick to my OEM seats and just replace all the cushions and leather and get the gamvitti gears and leave it at that. Here is the short and long of this situation after spending some time analyzing this situation this afternoon. From a production standpoint, I don't see myself offering the ability to completely replace the factory seat rails. If someone else wants to bend and fab metal feet that would match the factory bends, I think that would be great, but strength is the big issue.
For guys with power seats, this means A) finding a manual slide or B) cutting out your power slide. I had a solid look at that today, it would definitely be possible, but I am not going to lie, it would be a pain. Maybe not much more than the work you would be doing to remove the DISCO feet, but Mr T bolted and riveted those suckers in place really good. Also, once you go down this road, your original seat is donezo, but if they were good, you probably wouldn't be doing this to begin with.
THIRD and MOST import. I am not exactly sure how to proceed forward with this and if I should. This modification is really simple for 91/92 because we have manual slides and the seat belts are bolted to the floor. I am not comfortable from a legal or liability stand point offering something which the end user will alter there Factory Safety Restrain System. Someone who knows better than myself can chime in, but I feel pretty confident that in the (al beit rare) event that someone gets in an accident and the seat belt rips from the seat or the bracket is now the "weak link" and fails, I would be wide open to a lawsuit. For that reason it makes it tough to know what the best path would be moving forward. We often joke on here about doing stuff at your own risk, but this is something much more than desmogging or ABS deletes. I am going to finish making my prototype, I will open source this and see what everyone thinks. If there is enough 91/92 guys interested I might start to look at this from a selling point, but at this point 93+ is kind of dead in the water to me.
I am open to hear all your guys thoughts on this, but please take into account the reality of the world we live in and what my risk would be. I know you may be willing to accept the risk, but in the event I am worried about, your insurance agent and their lawyers are not going to give two $h!%s about our gentleman's agreement. So, anyone following this thread... what say you?

Since the LR female is attached to seat just use the anchor the other side of the belt to the 80 location instead of the seat. Exact same anchor system.I see, so the longer portion on the LR seat actually comes back and bolts to the seat ? I guess somebody just needs to see if the LR buckle will plug into the LC female.
