It seems the 30-31 May weekend has more interest so far for this meet up. I was thinking Memorial Day weekend (the prior week), would allow more time for folks to travel, but it doesn’t matter to me which weekend this happens. Looks like we have 3 tentative attendees so far. I’ll be at the property the last 2 weeks of May regardless. @Guyute check the hotsprings the Antelope Reserve if you do the OBCDR. Pretty cool spot. We did that a couple years back and definitely worth a stop if you like to soak.

If any PNW 70 Series Drivers want to do a meet up in May, I can offer up my property in Siskiyou National Forest. It is located between Grants Pass and Cave Junction, OR. It would have to be either 23-25 May or 30-31 May. If there is enough interest, we can make it happen. Swimming on the Illinois River is great, and side trips to Oregon Caves and Redwood Groves are not far away. I have enough parking and space for tent camping and a Vault toilet on property to support up to 15 vehicles. No showers on property. Maybe we could all bring our favorite beers from our area and talk things Toyota around the camp fire. Offer is out there. Let me know if there is interest. R/ Don

Looks incredible! Still figuring out these forums so I missed the message for that weekend. Not sure if you went, but I would definitely be up for the next trip! Still on the lookout for a couple of shakedown trips in my new cruiser.

I’ve been up here all month, but there didn’t seem to be too much interest. Maybe next year there may be more people interested. It’s a shame because the weather was absolutely beautiful all of May.

@Flynn & @Guyute hopefully we can generate some more interest next May. Of course it doesn’t have to be in May, but it does usually have the best weather.

Great idea! I’m making a calendar reminder so I don’t forget to check back.

Well Everyone, if we are going to do this, it seems we should put a date on the calendar now so everyone can plan around it. Would the dates of 23-25 May (Memorial Day Weekend) work for everyone for a 2026 West Coast - Left Coast / PNW 70 Series Meet Up (whatever we want to call it) work for everyone that is interested? Everyone doesn't have to be from the West Coast or PNW to attend, but this is where it will be, if we can generate some interest. My work schedule gets a bit hectic in June - August, so May would work best for me. I can shift a week prior or a week later, but other than those dates, it will be difficult for me to host on my property.

To summarize from previously, this is in the Siskiyou National Forest, near Cave Junction, OR. I have enough room for probably 20 rigs, plus or minus, comfortably. I do NOT have shower facilities on my property, but have out door vault toilets. This would be tent camping or RTT camping event. Weather is generally nice this time of year. It is a riverside property, so you can take dips in the river to cool down, relax, and get the sweat off. It would be pack it in / pack it out for trash. Everyone welcome, come one, come all. There are plenty of trails around here, if we feel like doing an easy trail; nothing extreme. Also Oregon Caves, Redwood Forest, and Oregon Coast are relatively close for side trips on the way in or departing the event.

I hope there is some interest in the 70 Series Community. I think it would be great to get together and talk about Toyotas and 70 Series topics. Let's start putting a list together of possible attendees and firm up the date. If we don't start generating interest now, it probably won't happen. What do you all say?

Awesome offer! Some friends have been plotting such an event. Maybe we can chat over the next week, ya?

@coldtaco , Medford Airport (MFR) is just under 2 hrs away, if you decide to do the rental option. Eugene about 3 hours away. Hope you can make it.

All, we seem to be gathering some momentum here. The month of May will be here before we know it. Let's see if we can generate some more interest with our 70 Series friends that we have meet on the forum and at other locales. Here is the opportunity to meet some of the folks who have helped us through our mechanical troubles and / or otherwise have a passion in common with. @ranchero7, @Guyute, @Metto, @coldtaco, @Mookies, @Houser, @cruiserpilot, @mk216v, @Slotosea, @Sundowner, @Trustyrusty, @BigJoeSea, @GTSSportCoupe, @wardharris. If I haven't tagged anyone personally, don't take it personal. Let's doThis! Spread the word!

Watching these plans develop from Georgia. And I am keenly sensitive to the distance involved, so I will be watching for details that support planning.

Thanks
