I've got this plug or cover or something in the roof of my 60. Not really sure what it is or how to get it out or why its there. A PO must have had something they mouted up there. Small amounts of water drip out of the dome light when it rains so I need to pull it out and re-seal it or plug it. It sits in the garage so its usually dry but still not good if I wanna be able to drive it in the rain. Not sure the best way to go. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Ya. I knew it wasn't OEM. Thought like you it might have been a hole for an antenna. Not sure hoelw to go about fixing the problem, though.

I would guess a rust hole that may have been drilled out and plugged. Does it line up with the courtesy light in the roof?

If not, to fix that properly would involve removing the head liner, which is a huge amount of work.

If you try to weld the hole up without removing the head lining, there's a very real chance of setting fire to the sound deadening which loves to burn.

So probably easiest to replace/refit the plug with some silicone RTV or PU seam sealer
