Pig sun roof????

Has anybody cut the roof from the dome light back and installed a sun roof (glass or plexiglass)? Just thinking about it, Might be pretty cool.

Find someone parting out an 80 series and get the whole thing including a section of the roof.

i think i'd add some bracing to the roof panel before i did a sunroof...they're kind of flimsy

In my opinion piggies rust too fast to help it along with a leaky sunroof!!

I had also thought about doing the open roof design before I bobbed mine, similar to the old VW Vanagon, where almost the whole roof could be open. That would be a ton of work if you decided to keep the headliner & brace around the opening. I decided against it due to I wanted a semi-permanent roof rack

the sun roof I can get to is off a 79 hulk that rusted away....amazing how much rust is around the sunroof area..........toyed with the idea for a while of putting it on mine till I hit the surroundings with a wire brush and it was scary.........maybe in AZ but here in the Southeast
