Pablo,

Could you get together with Redgrrr and start to work out a plan. You know what type trails that all of us would feel comfortable running, camping, etc. and maybe we can get Pig Party 21 on the way. If there's anything I could do to help I will. It's a lot to ask of you guys and we all will understand if you can't commit to such a big undertaking. This might be the year we break the record of 55s showing up.

I will say this, there is a wide variety of terrain available in the Black Hills.
For myself, I would probably keep my stock-ish Pig on the overnight run trail.
The challenges go all the way up to the Cereal Bowl Circuit (Cap'n Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, etc) where it will take you most of the day to go ~1 mile in a buggy.
I think we will need to consider if everyone will be happy w/ the Overnight Run route? If not, we may want to base camp out of a location and then everyone does a "choose your own adventure" option.
There are a TON of fun things to do in the area...

While I have been worrying about mom and working on the job search, @Redgrrr has been out doing some recon for us.

I will let him post up the pictures...

I was working on a shirt idea when I was thinking this was going to be two or three pigs, do you guys want me to get extras printed and make them available before the party?

I am in for XL please!

And if @bobm has not asked already - tank tops? I take a L in the tank top.

Hmm... something about those hub caps. Do they make the wheels look big?

Good times! This is an open area right next to Badlands National park. There used to be Offroad races out there in the 1970s. Come to South Dakota this year if you all haven’t decided to do so!

It will be a good time! I was going to go run the rubicon this summer for my 40th birthday on June 26th but if you all come here I’ll stick around to tour y’all around if those are the dates that were posted earlier in the Thead still apply.

I'm in no stretch making any decisions, but I believe the biggest part of the group likes June 25th to whenever they have to leave, 28thish. So, with that date and a good spot to trail ride, what does everyone said.

Redgrr, thanks so much for taking this on. What's your thought on camping? Is there a place we all can set up camp and would we be stationary for the weekend verses moving each day? I know everyone is looking forward to this after being locked up all year.

That’s up to you all if you want to move every night or have a base camp and travel around. The black hills cover a vast area and if you want to see everything in three days I believe it would be best to pick up camp every morning and go to a new area. I’d suggest one day in the badlands. One day in the northern hills and one day in the southern hills. Basically cover 100-150 miles per day. Both on and off road.

This is what I will be doing and as always anyone that wants to join us is welcome, if the group is going to base camp then we will join you on the first night and head out from there exploring South Dakota.

Redgrr, I think most of us are used to moving everyday in order to see a vast amount of area. There's pros and cons to both ways of camping, but if you want to see more of the State then we have to move. The Eastern States have denser trail systems where base camping works perfect, but out West you can drive all day to get to a certain spot.

J Mack, no sense in splitting up stay with the group as I'm sure we'll see plenty of the State to wet our apatite for more trips to the area.

What's everybody else thinking? We good to go, let's nail it down.

I get it Scrappy but in years past a vote was taken to base camp and 90% of the people that voted for it didn't show up to the party.
My plan is to see as much South Dakota dirt as I can in 5 or so days, we will try to make a loop again like we've done the last few years camping along the way.

Maybe you should be making decisions for the Black Hills, SD Pig Party, v21 Ron?

I can tell you feel the sense of timing.

You and @RUSH55 could co-organize, or divide and conquer, or something like that.

I am going to have a pretty steep learning curve with the new job, and I can tell this business with my Mom is going to be a challenge for myself and my sisters for the next few months. There is no way I can give the Pig Party much focus.

Sorry if this feels like a bait n switch, I know I have been mentioning the Black Hills for possible Pig Party, but I know I cannot be of much help for the next few months.
