We’re on the road but sidelined in Walden CO just south of Laramie on the WY border. The Frankencruiser just quit right on Main St. Could have just as easily been in the middle of virtually nowhere. Cranks but won’t fire.
Guess I’ll start in the morning checking out the things I touched last, namely the new fuel pump and fuel filter. Replacement tank had been boiled out a while back but did have a little rust & scale. Washed it outa d hoped for the best. In our hurry to leave today I left a spare filter a d the old noisy pump on the bench. At least there’s a NAPA store right down the street.
Looks like I’ve joined the “COVID 55” crowd this week. All appendages crossed.

Thats my hometown. Beautiful place, not much there.

Had a NAPA store…all I needed. North Park is drop dead gorgeous!

That looks like one heck of a turbo log @Redgrrr !!!

Back home! So much catching up to do. Jeri and I would like to thank our hosts and guides for the trip without them we would be sitting in a parking lot somewhere. You guys just plain rock, so much fun and your families are fantastic. Please take a headcount of your kids because Jeri might have brought a couple home with her. :) I'm sure they will miss fooling the old couple. We learned a lot from you guys about the Black Hills, very cool state.

Thanks again guys, we will see you again!

So to kill some time I jumped the Missouri River to investigate prairie life. Crossed the River and headed north on 83. Enjoying seeing the life of very rural America and the people who enjoy to work hard without the chaos of big city life. A lot of fresh air. I chatted up a cute girl at a gas stop who moved to the area from Jersey 2 years ago. The only Java she refers to now is the town of Java she and her fiancé moved to. He lived here when growing up and now their back and loving it. Tiny towns like Akaska and Pollock. Every one I have encountered is happy to chat.

I took a gamble on the SD Pollock Rec site on the Missouri River on 10 west dead end. Pulled in around 7:00pm. 24 rv sites with electricity and absolutely no one here. WTF. I guess they are all off looking that special place they saw on someone‘s T shirt. I get that, those too are incredible places.. But where I am right now is nothing but the sound of birds the lapping of water and the whispering breeze whistling across the top of my beer bottle telling me it‘s time to open another one. OH and the little chipmunk a variety I have never seen before.

Dinner:
2 cheeses, salami and crackers. ( no dishes) beer
Breakfast:
Blueberry yogurt, cashews and walnuts courtesy of Pigeatn Dan (1 spoon to wash or not to)

Since no one is here to chat with your stuck with this diatribe.

Safe travels to all and best to all who weren’t able to participate. :bounce:

I love this adventure Gordo!

We had dinner and breakfast with Gordobe then headed the opposite direction this morning into Wyoming. Visited Devils Tower and who did we run into on the way out but the Voodoo crew. Wasn’t thinking quick enough to get a picture of our two Pigs nose to nose. Campground in Buffalo WY tonight. Into the Big Horns and on to Sheridan tomorrow.
Drawing inspiration from Ande I may even treat the Frankencruiser to a bath.

Awesome! Too bad we lost Ande early in the adventures.

Before long we had the parking lot full of Pigs, a 40-series troopy, a 60, an 80 (w/ sweet trailer), a 100 and a 200.

Down the road we went. The area was pretty busy, and we were determined to not lose too much time mixing with the tourists, so our first stop was the parking lot outside of Crazy Horse (look in the background):
