If it's not too or too much trouble or too late I'd like 1xxl, 2 xl, 1lg, and two kids shirt. I'll bring cash. Thanks for doing this.
I'll also bring a drone for aerial pics.

WTB complete driver side fresh air vent assembly, including interior vent cover and pull mechanism and rod, for '73 Pig. Believe all years are compatible. Be cool if one of you coming to the Pig Party might have a spare and could bring it.
Also will be in Telluride starting Wednesday for the annual Bluegrass Festival. Will post updates on weather, trails, etc. as I can find info.

I might be able to make the Pig Fest after all. The driver's and passenger floorboards are essentially gone. If I can just get Barney Rubble to agree to take off work at he quarry, we'll be there! Brake and fuel system problems solved. We should probably leave now though.

Might I suggest Nike Airs, your feet may not be as tough as Barney's.

Is this still current?

I don't know. I was hoping people would up date it because this thread is like a bowl of spaghetti now.

I appolgise to all for my comments about attending. The '73 has become a surprise in what's needed to be roadworthy. Shouldn't be but it is. Hope all who make it are rewarded with an incredible time. Living ig Colorado for 8 years made me appreciate the incredible place it is. Really wish we could have been part of the first Pig Fest.

BBQboy said he was out and I think Remy is riding with Bob. We still have Lil' John's spot open, since BBQ isn't coming and I have a spot open if needed.

Nice Job Pablo! :beer::beer:

From what I can tell on the cayton campground website, they have 16 online reservation sites, and the rest are walk up sites. We actually stayed at the walk up site just to the right, on the site map, of #6 in loop A. It was a great spot with 3 areas for camping. The spots farther in are definitely better. The sites in loop B are up higher and farther from the river.

I have a good friend with a fj60 who wants to crash the party, so I say the more the merrier.

Am I reading the campground website correctly that there are no showers?

I've got firewood ( next winter's supply ), but I thought you weren't supposed to haul it out of state, beetles and all. If I bring a Military trailer, I could haul some.

You are correct, we don't want to move the firewood.

The good news is that we can gather firewood without a permit in the San Juan Nat'l Forest. Anyone have a chainsaw they can bring?

The campground website says the campground is at 9400', so plan on night-time temps cooler than reported in Rico. I think some good camp fires will certainly make things more enjoyable.

No fire bans in effect - I called the Delores Ranger District: San Juan National Forest - Alerts & Notices at 970-882-7296 They were optimistic we would not face a fire ban next week. They also said we should be able to buy wood at the campground, but he mentioned that after mentioning that we can gather w/o a permit up there.

Better than nothing! Send it to me, I will call the guy that did my last batch of shirts and see if he can hammer them out.
What is your vote on color?

I'm a little late to the convo, but I have this file if it helps.

Have we decided on trial runs specifically staying on pavement/fire roads or rock runs/mud wheeling? There was some talk early on about some specific trail runs dependent on snow melt, has anyone looked into these trails for mid-June this year?

I don’t care what we do as a group and we are up for anything but I would like to pack accordingly without over packing for the long trip.

Thanks.

I was out of town for the weekend, but I can report on the conditions in CO, at 30,000 feet though.:) We flew over the Rockies and transferred planes in Denver. There's still snow on the majority of the peaks. Weather in Rico next week will be near 80* for the highs and mid 40's for the lows. Perfect temps in my opinion.

My guess is, due to a lot of snow melt, the trails are going to be muddy. So the pigs are gonna feel right at home.:pig:

Haven't had much to report myself. Giving pig an oil change and tappit adjust on Wednesday. There sure has been a lot of chatter on this thread lately. Sounds like a lot of scurrying around has been happening to get ready for the "long haul" to the birth of the first pig parteee.

Thanks JMack for taking the shirt venture on, hope it's not a bother.

Thanks also to all for the weather reports and general location info.

Sounds like a couple unfortunate sowls may not make it, so sad:pig:. Maybe the tide will change again in favor of all who dream. But try try try.

Any one happen to know the latest talley.

Best to all who are depending on their faithful swine to transport them to this Shangri La

Pablo did we get a rough head count for the potluck . i am guessing 25-30 adults
