Photos attached in threads partially loading...

fixed...major issue with file permissions in attachments, should take most of a day or two to correct...looks like I caught these tho :)
 
This issue is occuring on both of my XP Pro SP3 computers. Yesterday, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit on my main PC. Put both computers side by side and the results are identical as far as attachment problems. I sure will be happy when I can see the photos in full content in the threads. As I have said before, when you click on the paperclip and open the individual attachments they all display properly.
 
I've got about 20 hours into trying to track down what's happening...

on an issue I can't duplicate....

which makes it about 99.9% impossible for me to know if any tweaks are working or not...

can we say 'frustrating' ??
 
man...trying to remember back, since this happened one other time....and IIRC, as a result of a server change too...

believe the attachment_watermark.php file calls for something in the server setup that wasn't enabled initially....just wish I remembered what....

(yes, talking out loud....for my future memory...lol)
 
and per a PM from Poser, without the Watermark operating, images are showing just fine....

anyone else? Now to recall what needs to be turned on to get that running...
 
I'll try to remember to check at home tonight Woody...They load fine here at work, but that doesn't say much because for whatever reason I haven't had any issues here, just at home...

EDIT: Looking good here as well now :steer:

Just for grins I went back to the old thread and when I click to save a picture it shows it is saving it as a jpeg vs. .bmp on all of them...Whatever you did, so far, seems to be working!

What ever you did has corrected this issue on the problem threads that I have looked at so far. Thank you :cheers::cheers::cheers:
 
Thanks woody,....whatever you did,...my widows 7 and IE are opening all pics. completely now.
 
Partially loading pictures are back for me :frown:

Coincidence that I read on Romer's Twine install thread that Woody fixed some issue where his pictures were not showing up and that same night I noticed that I was seeing partially loaded pictures again? Just in case not, I mention it :)

I waited a bit before posting to see if things might fix themselves but so far, no joy...

I've been following this thread since day 1 and until recently all pictures loaded just fine. Now, the pics in post #36, #37, #54, #55, #56, #89, #90, #91 only partially load. Again, all pics that only partially load show as .bmp files when right-click, file save as. All that load fine show as .jpg


P.S. I'm glad you are the computer dude :D - Coming to CM10? If so, stop by the popup camper city at Area BFE for a :beer: as you deserve one :steer:
 
fixed, hopefully...

issues are with individual users and individual images...still unsure what's caused the issue...the fix requires trying to reset file permissions. Some fail...those get downloaded, deleted from the server, then re-uploaded and their permissions reset

Hmmm.. none of those pics. load for me either:confused::confused::confused:
 
all the file permissions are correctly set...if you are still having issues, the you need to clear your cache, restart your browser, and hit the page again...may also require a Ctrl-F5 hard refresh while viewing the page.

I was unable to get these issues to occur unless I was viewing the site in IE, and even then only rarely. IMO, Firefox or Chrome are 10x the browser.

I've about given up...you cannot imagine the hours I have into tracking the issue...only to have it reported again...

NO problems now :cheers:
