Wow.. Where did you find those? that's friggin cool. He's putting the tool kit back under the seat. I gotta see if my old owner has some vintage pics...

Cool pictures Must's have ben out west somewhere theme's Mule deer on the hood... look's a lot like my 66 when I first bought It, same color and orange seats, only I save it from being used as a trash hauler at a trailer park...

I like how he left one bow on the Cruiser.

No problem that bow is the same as a hard top. Just put the bow all the way in and tighten the bolt on the tub. It is a bolt with a nut. loosen it to remove and the tighten once it's back in. Since this was brand new back then I'm sure the bolt was still there. On the 63 and older this won't work to well, there is only a small bracket that holds the front bow. Someone also said it must be out west, you can see a little of the black and yellow CA plate in the picture of the trailer.

some more pics of what is said to be a 1964...but...as the it turns out...its a miss lable....

The "old schoolers"/ "Purists" note long running boards and emblems on rear...make it actually a 1965.

This would be Capri Blue...correct? This is the color my daughter wants, and I'm fine with that...looks great!

I'd say it was a '65 though...just because of the longer running boards, but close enough for me.

I did notice that it was missing the TOYOTA sticker.

Thanks Johnny...those made my day!

I have to agree with Dean. I would say 65. Think that was the first year of the 4 wheel drive and Toyota emblems on the back.

Ha...just realized that I looked over those when I was looking for the black TOYOTA sticker that should have been on the rear sill...too much on my mind I guess :frown:

First picture in post 11 shows a reflector in the spare tire carrier. My 68 FJ40 has two small holes that line up with tht later Koito reflectors. Just curious if Toyota made them a few years earlier to fit in the spare tire carrier:hhmm: Around 64 or 65 Toyota was having these made by Koito local in Japan instead of having the US made Stratolite installed here. Still had the flanges with screw head showing. 1968 the Koito reflectors had studs out the back. First model year that they were moved to the rear frame crossmember. I always wondered why the two holes in the spare tire carrier when the reflector in the crossmember worked fine with the tire carrier. Carry over maybe:meh:

I've also seen the reflector mounted on the hub cap on some 'studio' pics, but the picture below is the only time I've seen a 'real' one...would this have been phased around '65 as well you think?

This is a set that I wanted, but did not get a chance to buy.
