On road or off road use? I've found there is a world of difference between what will hold a phone on road, and what will hold off road.

I just bought the Peak Design vent unit here and it is tits... easy, solid, magsafe, charging... I really think that I am going to forego the whole Hamilton carplay upgrade ($500-$800 installed) and just use this along with bluetooth... really solves the problem if you just need the phone for Maps and music IMHO.

My 200 came with this (thanks Chris!) and I haven't felt any need to upgrade, it works.

I just bought another as an Xmas present for my sister in law for her LX... gotta say it's been the best mod so far...

It's OEM with the accessory bracket from here: OEM-Style Accessories for Lexus, Land Cruiser & G-Wagon | Leather & Dirt - https://leatheranddirt.com/

I drilled a hole in the OEM cover and installed a rubber grommet to run cables through
I saw this just the other day and ordered, i cant wait i had bought some "Off Roam' holders that clamp to the vents and their chrome strip. they are just OK and use a ball that is smaller then RAM so they don't fit a standard ball mount...

Here’s where I drilled the hole to run the cables.

I came across Pro Clip when looking for a phone mount for my new-to-me 200. I have previously used Ram Mounts in my 60 and 100 but wanted something a little cleaner for the 200. Got the Pro Clip with the integrated MagSafe charger on sale and have zero regrets.

Install was straightforward, and having just mounted the Hamilton kit I was familiar with removing parts of the dash panel. This allowed me to cleanly run the charging wire mostly out of sight. I'm sure you can splice that into the 12v adapter if you wanted to but for now I'm happy with what I have. Highly recommend!

I’ve had good luck with the Gemini phone mount by CravenSpeed. It fits in one of the small switch delete plates either to the right or left of the steering wheel. The arm is bendable and you can position it out of the way of the wiper or signal selector depending on if you choose to the right or left of the steering column. You slide a magnet into your phone case and there is the corresponding magnet at the head of the mount which can rotate for easy viewing. It doesn’t contain a charger so I keep one in the waste of space in front of the gear shift. Pretty stable. I’ve had to retighten twice after using for 7 years or so.
Hope it helps.

$10 on amazon. It uses 3M adhesive and blocks the DVD drive and passenger temp display a tiny bit and easily swivels out of the way. To detach the phone it takes a good amount of effort. I rather have the mount not block the vents. I would charge via cigarette lighter when needed.

Basic install without drilling or cords showing.
