wheel shopping is proving challenging...

Stock Lexus GX470 wheels are 17x7.5, 25mm offset, 4.75" backspacing

SCS Performance have 17x8.5's with a -10 offset, 4.3" backspacing

FN Wheels have 17x8's with a -10 offset, 4.1" backspacing (Type X)

FN Wheels also have 17x9's with a 0 offset, 5" backspacing (Six Shooter)

Radflo's are ordered, Light Racing UCA's are ordered...but need the wheels :)

I really like your write up on the bulid for the wife. I also have a white GX i am slowly building with a 3 in lift. I am currently in the market and shopping around for wheels and Mud terrains. But like you said in your post it is not that easy. I like your write up on the stock specs for the wheels and the offset and backspacing. This stuff always confused me a little when trying to gain the look and wheeling performance I want.

Do you know if 20x9 moto metal whees with 33x12.50 R20 Mud terrains will fit on my lifted GX and would they rub? They have a 18 offset with 5.71 backspacing.

Or would 18x9s be better for fit and performance while wheeling? I want to get a slightly bigger than stock wheel with the deep dish wheel look(the lip around the rim). Let me know what you think

For offroad use, you will want smaller wheels for more sidewall.

The Ironman lift worked nicely....we've had it on for a few months, and have been thrashing it thoroughly....it DID fade after 45 minutes of Baja backroads (coco's corners area) but overall performed perfectly. Believe (memory) we did the heavy coils in the front (for the bumper/winch weight) and medium's in the rear...a bit of adjustment to set the ride height in front, and it's been great since.

MetalTech front bumper and ComeUp winch are newer too....plus that bling Pearl white Factor55! :D :D (and of course, LED's....from Lifetime LED)

Nice! How many miles on the discoverer tires?
good question...3 years on them tho (as of this week), wishing they would wear out so we can change it up :)

I believe it's CoCo's 40th anniversary this year with his beer oasis in Baja.

The bumper's lines are amazing on the GX!!

Yes, the bumper and sliders make the pearl white pop nicely!!
Would/could you repost the links for those bits?

looked like a good trip! *thumbs up*
Bumper and Sliders are both from MetalTech @helocat - the sliders are powdered to match the wheels (and a touch of metalflake for bling) and the bumper is slated to get the same later this summer. Lights are from Lifetime LED and the winch is a ComeUp :)

Goodness, I hope you dont have to sleep with the website owner for a patch....
