Well, I don't have too many pictures to post, but I recently bought dobinson components for a lift, as well as a flip kit with the good guys at 4Plus. But only for the front, the rear kit is on backorder, so I got the U bolts in anticipation of getting the rear plates getting in around the 6-7 month mark.
William is a good friend. He was kind enough to forego a massive hangover at a relative's birthday party in exchange for a minor one to help me the following day. This was a cuppa weeks ago, I might add. Anyway, I headed over to his pad to get s*** crackin on Peaches and to help her attain the respectable status she deserves. We opted to tackle the front axel first, which was relatively manageable, but still had it's issues. During the process of placing the Driver Side wheel on, I noticed alot of play, and removing the hub revealed a bunch of loose components, including a spindle nut that had no threads. She was just hangin in there all loosey goosey. We removed that spindle nut and just used one with the retaining washer. A patch up job for the moment. Please do not think that just because I have been away from Mud for a bit means that I have reached enlightenment and am above a little bit of ghetto rigging until the real work can be done. But I digress...
The rear went on without too much issue, except for the U bolts that I ordered in a pinch at a local fab shop. They were not the length that I would prefer, but they are a length to get the job done. Since we began work at 11am and finished around 9pm, we decided that enough was enough until I can get back with a complete knuckle overhaul and can get some longer U bolts.
